S.O.T.D Sat. 22th Dec. to Frid. 29st Dec 2012

Greetings

Sunday 23rd December 2012
Prep: Shower
Razor: Ever Ready Streamline
Blade: GEM Stainless Coated
Brush: Omega 39 Boar
Soap: Wilkinson Sword Stick grated into a container
Aftershave: Dove Sensitive Balm

Super shave, Iv'e mastered the Streamline at last and can confirm that all my problems with this razor were down to not a light enough touch.

Regards
Dick

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Simpson, Chubby 3
Razor: Iwisaki Kamisori
Soap: Nannys Eucalyptus
AS: La Toja Manantiales
Edt: Penhaligon's English Fern
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean :D

This has to my surprise turned into the easiest to use kamisori I've got, at first I was terrified of the size (8/8) and legendary Iwisaki sans rep, but it is very easy to use (for a kamisori) :D

Sunday:

LEA Menthol cream
Omega silvertip
Gillette LC New
Gillette 7 o'clock SharpEdge
Witch Hazel
Pinaud Clubman
LEA Balm

Nice minty shave to clear my head after a bit too much Christmas spirit yesterday. BBS result.

Didn't leave myself a lot of time last night so a single pass only to tidy me up!

Prep hot shower
Muhle R89 with Supermax Stainless (2)
Truefitt and Hill West Indian Limes cream with Vulfix Grosvenor brush (i'd previously referred to this as a Guvnor in error)
Alum block and Proraso green aftershave lotion

Pretty good for a single pass, no nicks or cuts.

Sunday

white proraso pre post
Neo custom 2 band
MDC
EJ Bull Mastiff + Super personna (1)
Thayers Superhazel
white Proraso ASB

result: 2 passes only, very comfortable and smooth. Like the new proraso products, but not sure on the ASB, as its only 1st go with that.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage rebranded Simpsons best
'Webly'/Personna74
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
Barbershop Bay Rum AS
Givenchy 'Xeryus' EdT (old juice)

One of my favorite razor/blade combos and one of my favorite soaps. Poifect! Plus I don't even smell that awful!!

BBS results,

Martin

English Gem - actually British Gem, says Made in GB which is a bit unusual.
L'occitane soap + Prorasso AS
WSP Prince Finest brush.

WSP kindly sent me one for evaluation, quite impressive first outing.

Mikael, you are the King of the gnomes.

Nice pics.

Gracias Pablo! I'm afraid this is only a small part of "our" collection, I wouldn't know how many we've on display now (which is a few compared to what we prob have stuffed away in boxes)... My wife must has a thing for Christmas decorations and gnomes :icon_rolleyes:
