Twat.

And that's all I'm going to say about the subject.

Also, A Feather? Shaving at that speed? What a cock

I have seen the love for this on B&B and all I can say is that majority of Americans must be suckers for the "Big Sell"

My theory is this:

People take up classic shaving because they want to spend some enjoyable time on grooming. They found their multi-blade razor to cause irritation and also it was no fun. Many of the people on B&B having been classic shaving for a long time.

After a while they forget why they started, and what the experience of a multi is like. It starts to annoy them that their shave often isn't as close as they would like, or that it can take 20 minutes to get done. Along comes this guy and says he can give you a super-close shave with 1 billion passes in under 30 seconds. And they buy it because it is both fast and close. Any irritation they experience is put down to them "not mastering the forms" or "have you considered buying the special flannel?"

And it works. They forget that when they started DE or straight shaving, they didn't want fast because it is no fun. And they forget that the reason "method shaving" and multis provide close shaves is because they are removing skin as well as hair!! resulting in irritation.

This is, I think, why people seem convinced, and why his business model will never grow beyond jaded DE shavers.

That's it, it's not the pseudo science, redefinition and psychobabble that really bothers me it's the emphasis on speed and the ultra finish that I find offensive. If that's what you want just use Immac or get laser treatment.

That's strange -- from what I've gathered in the short time that I was on B&B, peoply invariable state that method shaving is a time-consuming practice...

You're right Antdad, the speed thing is what seems most at odds with what DE shaving is all about. This guy would seem better suited to working in Starbucks as he seems so caffeinated and hyper and what he seems to be selling is instant coffee as opposed to the slow-brew of traditional shaving of which time and patience is such a vital ingredient.
Afterall, DE shaving is an almost meditative experience where you lose yourself in the task of prepping, lather-making and applying, reducing, rinsing and with all that your pulse count slows, your breathing is calm and blood pressure lessened.
Shaving at that speed is impressive, in a Cirque De Soleil kind of way and I was half-expecting him to gargle aftershave and produce fireballs from his motor-mouth. If I was at his presentation I would have applauded as I can't see this as something the average guy could, much less want to, do. What a performance!

....I suppose that's why it will only really appeal to a few.

Somebody I once knew asked me if I'd be interested in an "investment opportunity". He spent an hour telling me how I could double or treble my money at little or no risk. I then spent 2 hours trying to explain to him how these pyramid schemes worked but he couldn't be dissuaded.

I'm not sure that method shaving appeals to shavers that are "jaded" but like my friend there might be just enough out there who will believe and yes it is quite a performance.

The third video is scary with all that scraping. Is it really necessary?

For a man trying to sell his own line of cream/soap/tonic/cutting balms it looks like most of the time the razor passes over skin with nothing more than water present on the face.

All a bit hyper. Either that or his skin has the toughness of leather, the smoothness of glass and secretes a regular flow of WD40 to give lubricatgion.

BS40 more like.

It's almost irony or parody until you realise he's deadly serious. I can only assume he's bet the farm on this and is mortgaged to the hilt, needing it to work. He has that hyper manic thing going that smells of desperation. I actually feel a bit sorry for him.

Yes it is all a bit frantic. it would take you another 20 mins to clean up after a shave like that. He had foam flying everywhere.

There are many things in this world I do not understand, this is one of them, I say live and let live, as long as he is not trying to peddle this at my door then if they believe it is better leave them to it. Still when I watched him shave there was a sick part of me that wanted to see blood spurting, at the end I think his neck looked really irritated and the end result does not look like a good shave.

A lot of effort for no result, big thumbs down from me. Rev-O no sale here.

Kinnell!........Total clown! Whether he is trying to convert an electric razor user to wet shaving or anyone else.....A pratt of the highest order.......
