I may have posted this before, if so I apologise.
Have a listen to this hot bulb engine.

Tell you what...park that boat outside your house and see if you still like the sound of it after running for 16 hours.

That's not a working boat any more is it? Probably lovingly restored by an "enthusiast".

The same old romantic clap trap is wittered about railway steam engines...in their time, poorly made, filthy, unreliable death traps.

There's nothing like sitting in a carriage being pulled along by a steam engine. Oh wait, yes there is - sitting in a carriage being pulled along by a diesel. Cos when you're sitting in the carriage, you can't see what's pulling you!

Personally, I prefer the 1.5 hours it now takes me to get to London from Crewe in a Pendalino than the 2.5 hours it used to take before they've beefed up the trains and the tracks.

Ach, I'm a bit grumpy myself today.

Not grumpy more realist than blind romantic.

There is very little if any romance involved in the fishing industry...just like being miner, steam loco driver or even a chef.

Its was often dangerous and unsociable work in trying conditions, it's only time and T.V that has led us to forget.
Otherwise PC, we'll soon be sending one of your boys to clean the chimneys because he's small enough and he looks a picture covered in soot.

Better that boat be used to take tourists round the bay.

I love TSR. Young Kristian posts a video about engine noises, and within no time at all his post has been hijacked and turned into one about classical music.

Could be worse: it might have been the other way round.

I watched the video for 17 seconds before I wished I hadn't. It's a bit thin on plot.

 Oh dear, another thing to add to my special list!

Edit: Adding clips of fab Classical music made me take a look at Youtube. Sabine Meyer is an incredible clarinettist. Please take a couple of minutes to listen to why this is a beautiful sound too.
