A bit harsh! Wait on till you are ill, have a sore face or are in a hell of a rush - even the goo!

I'll definitely agree the nah! to goo - until needs must. Whether I buy a new can when the current one expires in the next squirt or three remains to be seen!

seefman said:I am going back to cartridge shaving. Gillette Sensor (original) and Wilkinson Sword Hydro 3 both give me a closer shave than DE (tried Personna & others which are considered sharp).
Edwin Jagger and the Parker are going in the bin as I am tired of getting cuts and un-close shaves!
What a mugs game... you can keep DE shaving!

I felt a bit like that when I first switched from DE's to straights and couldn't get the hang of it for a long time. All I would say is that with effort and perseverance comes attainment. Throwing superior tools away because you're not able to use them yet isn't the way to improve.
I would strongly argue against the 'superior tools' and 'not able to use them' part of your post.
When cartridges were introduced men ditched their old DE razors in their millions. These men knew nothing other than DE shaving. If cartridges were 'inferior' they would never have sold, and sold to men with many, many years 'practice' with DE razors.
It's hardly rocket surgery.
