flat caps

I always found they looked funny. I guess they just remind me of Del Boy from Only Fools & Horses. They look fantastic as country attire but in the area of London that I'm from they tended to be worn by wideboys and then by a generation of 'Chavs' so to speak so they aren't looked upon as having any sort of class. I definitely wouldn't get away with it. The only time I wear a hat is when I dig out my Trilby in the summer .

I have only got into wearing a hat during the last year or so. I have 3, a fur one with flaps for the winter to keep my ears warm.

I've been wearing flat caps of various styles and materials since I was about 16. Currently have a Hackett tweed, M&S Tweed (by Moon) and an M&S cotton one for summer. Some nice ones pictured in this thread, has put me in mind of a new one for next winter. The M&S Moon tweeds are excellent quality and value.

Would love a horse racing style trilby but not sure what I could wear it with.

Father in law was so impressed with the tarp hat he ordered one himself and got me this off same site as a pressie

Not one normally for baseball caps but this one not to chavvy at all
