England v India - World No 1?

Well I was kind of happy he did not..

In the entire Indian team that is touring right now none other than Dravid has shown the class of an international batsman.
So no one else is eligible for a hundred.

He would have to get his 100 another day in another series where he performs according to his class..

England were as brilliant just as India were woeful and running on empty, England were shot turning up to the one day world cup just as India are now after a grueling schedule and consecutive tours.

Nice to see England being Australia like in their ruthlessness although I'm still not absolutely convinced they will hold onto No 1 status for long, old habits I suppose.

Harsh, but perhaps fair. I must say, as a connoisseur of wrist spin, I reckon Mishra ought to be a batsman who bowls a bit (in the vein of Pietersen, perhaps) rather than a specialist wrist-spinner who also bats. He achieved good turn, but seemed to lack the ability or courage to flight the ball in order to get drift and drop, and seemed to lack variety. I'd have liked to see some balls with more overspin, and a few flippers or slider that would have kept low.
