Edinburgh - a conveniently located hotel

Back in the New Forest.

Edinburgh fully lived up to expectations. I hadn't appreciated just how spectacular the area is between Princes Street and the Royal Mile. We walked miles during our stay and visited the Castle, HMY Britannia, and other attractions, drank lots of coffee and eat out a lot. Had an interesting trip to Greenock where we saw the house Ruth's dad grew up in. Very impressed with the airport - good facilities and plenty of space.
An unexpected highlight was being asked to witness a wedding, which we were happy to do. Not been picked up on a street before.

Thanks for the tips everyone. Everyone was friendly - even most of the bus drivers!
