This type of scent can be described as fougere or fern. Brut, Pinaud Clubman even Penhaligons EF all have this underlying smell to me. I hate them all. :evil:

Used the Brut lotion for aftershave last night, the light stuff.
Came back downstairs and SWMBA told me to get away from her and what the hell was that smell.
At first she said rotten fruit but then after a moment or two narrowed it down to rotten melon.

Mine's the "Original." Not sure about the 'light stuff'...however all is not lost; you could always try to convince Mrs Proinsias that melon (rotting or nay) will help as part of her five portions of fruit or veg a day!

For information purposes, THEY were most definitely of the female persuasion and I'm quite prepared to admit that my magnetic personality, charm and boyish good looks may have helped. A little. But they may have just been overpowered by the Tabac. It was probably a different formula in those days, and I suspect that it may not work the same now.
