*EDIT*

Brilliant shave. As good as it gets. These original Outlaws are phenomenal.

I can’t speak for the mild version or the newer version, but anyone who loves the R41 but doesn’t want to spend out on the GS would be very happy with a standard exposure “Mk 1”.

Brought out the big gun in the Wolfman being a ruthlessly efficient razor I only use it with a couple of days of whiskers or more, BBS shave the result after whipping up a great lather and a thin application of the mentholated aftershave cream.

My Shave today consisted of...
Prep Aleppo soap.
Brush Highlander LE2023 Boar.
Soap Once upon a time.
Razors Leaf & Stando Rod.
Blade Lord Platinum & Kai Titan mild Blue (2)
Aftershave Once upon a time splash.

Lovely shave today and I smell of freshly baked Biscuits.

How do you rate this razor? Have you tried the SS version?

Why hello there people. My first entry for this new week of SOTD's and being as it seems sometime since I last had one of these, well why? It's a Karaoke shave, this particular one vocally arriving themed, 'Heather's smalls'

20240518_205052.jpg
Heather the razor - 3ONE6
Small blade - Wizzamet Super Iridium
Moving my brush - Cadman 24mm Tuxedo
G-string soap - Extro Arzachena
M for Moisturiser people - L'Occitane Cade
Thong time - Extro Arzachena splash

'I'm waiting to use the bathroom'
'Well just sod off. I'm shaving'

The rules remain the same. Hit play, babble the lines and contrive them to fit the music

You've shaved me all wrong, I was on a roll
You ruined all my lather in the devil's bowl
You broke my brush and now its got no back
Move out my bathroom, baby, don't suggest you shave my sack

Just who do you think you are shaving?
Stop actin' like I'm rather depraving
Do you think you can do a full three pass?
Shave me like a man, baby, take that barber pole out my ass

'Cause I'm shavin' on up, you're shaving down below
Shavin' on up, nothin' can stop me
Shavin' on down, you trim your camels toe
One lump or two?, nothin' can stop me, yeah
A bearded man man just walked in my space
And you can't even shave my face
There ain't nothin' you can do
'Cause I've had enough cuts, baby, bein' shaved by you

Just who do you think you are?
Just gave me a bloody great scar
Just absolutely manic with a DE blade
I took it like a man, baby, and now I need first aid

'Cause I'm shavin' on up, you're shavin' down below
Shavin' on up, nothin' can stop me
Shavin' on up, you're shavin' too slow
Time to break free, nothin' can stop me

Shavin' on up, shavin' on up, shavin' on up
Shavin' on up, shavin' on up, shavin' on up
Shavin' on up, shavin' on up, shavin' on up
Shavin' on up, shavin' on up, shavin' on up
Shavin' on up, you're shavin' down below
Shavin' on up, nothin' can stop me
Shavin' on up, you're shavin' all you grow
Time for a tea, nothing can stop me
Shavin', shavin', shavin', or shall I have coffee
Shavin', shavin', time to disagree, nothin' can stop me

Or should I have a tea?

The 3ONE6. My wife would be happy using this. Efficient, smooth and a perfect ride. Completely the antithesis to me. Great to get the Extro out the cupboard and give it a whirl. I forgot how damn good this stuff is and why I used to rave over it. And the aroma? The splash to me is incredibly close to the now unobtanium Penhaligons Bayolea splash which I so loved. If anyone has some Bayolea splash unloved and just hanging around just PM me your address so that I can come around and nick it.

M people? In Japan it can only mean Midori people....

And I love you all

Sotd - 19-05-24 - oh - don't bother looking for any shaving porn in the picture - there isn't any.

Mergress - Treet carbon Classic - Simpson Case pure - Simpson Cafe Latte - witch hazel - DG Opulence - VR Spice Bomb.

A quick tidy up - just used what was on the top deck from the last shave. A nice combination - the scents dovetail nicely. I think I may have underestimated the Simpson creams - top notch in use and exemplary post feel. I wonder who makes them. Creightons? - enjoy your shaves one and all - cheers - I.

@Palmolive fox - thanks for your comments - it's little known that what most people would consider 'Mackintosh style' is in fact due to his wife, Margaret. They were a team - he designed the buildings but the overall look was as much her work as his. To quote him from a letter he sent to her 'Remember, you are half if not three-quarters in all my architectural work' - he also said - 'Margaret has genius, I have only talent.'

So, the glass plate in my previous post - was my very first attempt to work with leaded and painted glass - it seemed like a good place to start. It's pretty simple in terms of technique and construction. Looking back - there's a fairly serious mistake in the leading and also my painting technique had much to improve. The above is more representative of what I'm doing now. I've been commissioned to do a series of pieces for a local gallery, to be sold - it's summer work really - a medium that requires strong back-light to work isn't easy to design and produce when it's dark all the time - and the paint is so noxious that I need to have every window in the flat open. I enjoy the process though. They all begin with a sketch pad and pencils. - I.

On a side note Arran Aromatics are having a sale on discontinued products including their hard shaving soaps at the moment. The bowls they come in are wonderful and can be had for around £15 at present.

Thanks for the mackintosh insight Iain. 'Behind every great man, there's a great woman'...The modern take now is 'behind every great man there's a woman rolling her eyes'.
'By the way, give yourself some credit on your early creation. Take care.- B

Razor: The Razor Company TRC
Blade: Astra SP, 1st use
Brush: Highlander Chubby Style Boti Fan Knot Synthetic
Bowl: 3D Printed Bowl
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: HC&C Badass Puck
Aftershave: HC&C Badass Aftershave
Fragrance: Paris Corner Emir Vibrant Vetiver Delight EdP

My first run with the TRC steel variant and I’ve got to say I’m pretty impressed! This is a lovely weight, and much nicer than the Henson’s I’ve previously used. This would make an excellent daily shaver. I really like the finish and head shape, and a simple BBS. Sure it’s not the closest razor I own but it’s a lovely relaxing shave, and would perfect for my daily needs. Many thanks to @slapo for the passaround. I sense he may be tempting me with another razor I’ll like again!
