SOTD : Saturday 3 September - Friday 9 September 2022.

Sunday 4th September

Semogue 820 Boar - S.V. Opuntia - Tedalus Essence/Feather Professional Super - Encre Noire EDT

A great shave with 2 passes and a touch up.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and make sure you have a great birthday Tony @Tonyschin and Shubs @donnie_arko

I don't really remember my 40th very well. First of all it was a long time ago....and secondly......it was a very good party

Sunday 4th September

Soap • D.R Harris Lavender Stick
Brush • Yaqi Chianti 24mm Synthetic
Razor • DS Cosmetics T7
Blade • Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Post • None
Fragrance • Creed Bois Du Portugal EdP

For a mild razor, the DS T7 gets the job done very nicely. No doubt a fresh GSB made a good pairing.
I find when I use D.R Harris soap, I don't need to use an aftershave.
Finished with a liberal spaying of Bois Du Portugal.

It was a rainy start to our first morning in Scotland (God's own country, as ordained by @Digimonkey )
I'm pleased to report that the sun has now got his hat on in South Ayrshire.
Lorne Sausage and Haggis Slice bread roll went down a treat.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend, especially the birthday boys!

A break from my SE razors as there can be "only one" razor i could use today on my 60th, my birth-year Slim.
Fitted with a vintage blade and one of my favourite soaps lathered with a brush that is older than me.
A 3 pass shave finished with a really nice post shave routine ending with a splash of one of my favourite aftershaves setting me up for a birthday lunch with my close family and friends.
Happy Birthday also to Shubs @donnie_arko.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All
Happy 60th

SOTD Sunday 4th September 2022

Razor - Tedalus - Essence
Blade - Feather Pro Super #2
Soap - Valobra Stick
Brush - Boti 30mm SHD Silvertip (Fan)
Post - Geo F T Sandalwood skin food
Frag - Dunhill - Indian Sandalwood edp

I've been shaving with this razor for a little over a week and have been having some good shaves but today's shave was just perfect. :)

The Boti brush was a delight in use, super soft but not too floppy, it's a perfect brush for face lathering and I dare say it would work fine in a bowl too!

The soap, Valobra was easy to whip up into a beautiful thick and slick lather which allowed the blade a friction free slide across my skin while slicing through my stubble leaving me with super smooth skin and not even the slightest nick! Happy days

A splash of sandalwood skin food and a spray of Dunhill Sandalwood Edp here and there and done

Sorry about the quality of the pic, a very overcast day, the light was poor.

One of the smoothest and most satisfying SOTD's that I've had for a while.

First time out in a little while for pieces of gear (razor and brush), first actual time experiencing B&M - too early to say if it's a favourite base yet but definitely up there, I can certainly see what all the fuss is about.

Pre: hot shower, Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Face Scrub, King C Gillette wash face & Superdrug Coconut Oil with Argan Oil

Soap & splash: Barrister & Mann The Full Measure of Man

Razor: EJ 3one6 on face with Lord Platinum (6), Leaf on dome with Treet Platinum saloons (6)

Brush: AP Shave Co 26mm Silk Smoke

Post: Thayer's Witch Hazel with Coconut Water, Nivea Pro Sensitive Ultra Calming balm

And in further celebration of DEptember I present the shave themed, 'The Lord of Dark razors'

20220904_172837.jpg

Prince of darkness - Black Tatara nodachi
Hell ain't a bad place to be - Polsilver Lodz
Back in black - Zenith dark synthetic
Who switched the lights off? - Officina Artigiana
Smell the dark - Czech and Speake C88

'Darth Shaver I am your razor'

'Oh, thank you'

A first time out for the Nodachi dark. Looks the same and feels exactly the same as the matt silver version except.........it's black. A bit disturbed how some black powder presented itself on the sink when it came out of the box, but glad to say after this first run out I can't see any surface deterioration. Phew.

As for the shave, exactly what I would have expected from one of these superb Tatara razors. Smooth, precise and close. They really have won my heart this year. Not quite as close as the Ikon B1 but unlike its aggressive American brethren these Nodachi's just give so much confidence and flingability and all minus the threatening edge.

Super

The brush is another new kid on the block item and a very good price from The Shaving Station. The last black synthetic knot I owned did nothing more than just flick lather everywhere. Happy to say this one doesn't and to be honest quite a revelation and a smashing brush in use. Made a great job face lathering with the Officina.

All in all a most excellent of shaves and massive grin value here at Satanfriendly's dark abode.

The way energy bills are going we will all live in dark houses in the future. Fortunately I am well versed in the matter and here is what Johnny has to say on it all...

Have a most wonderful week ahead and wish you all the very best.

I leave you with some more from those Puffyshoes girlies......
