Dysfunctional women and their minions in a temporary location I am assigned to for a few more days of work!!! If it were up to me, I'd swing the "axe" and fire 'em all. Unfortunately, I am in an area that their replacements would be just as bad if not worse. I long for the old days when a boss could say "You're an idiot and you're fired!!". PC and fear of PC lawsuits stopped that. It has only allowed more idiots to be promoted.

Well, with all that's going on right now I probably shouldn't moan but today was crap mainly on account of having to do a 16h day on the back of a couple of 11h days already this week. No wonder the directors are bragging about how successful the company is. Half the staff we need, doing double the hours. Anyway I'm going to bed now, it'll be time to get up in a minute!
Meanwhile the politicians give themselves another payrise

Tell me about it. Just finished a high-pressure 60 hr week. If I were still freelance I could have taken the rest of the month off. As it is, the director will pay himself a bonus for "efficiency savings" i.e. not paying me for the extra.

Not to downplay anyone's hardship as I know what it's like.
That is the reason I am now self employed, I am a grafter, I have a, right get this done attitude worked at Amazon and hit the metrics in 5 hours so they got 3 hours free work.
When I was employed as a gardener i cut 5 more lawns a day than the previous man at £15-20 a lawn.(I only found out when I found his old diary) then I got faster as my fitness improved and started finishing about half two. Was pulled up for it and told to phone up for more work when I was done.
Told him no chance and am going to do 2 less and work till half four as it is still more than previous employee.
I worked with him through the winter, bought a van, lawnmower, strimmer and blower in the spring.
And have never looked back, I can work as much or as little as I want as I have people I can pass work on to and visa versa.

I have been so careful , thankfully I am double jabbed and boostered so hopefully it will just be like a heavy cold.

Sorry to hear about this Tony, even the most careful of us can get struck down.
Take it easy and as has been said already, get plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluids and you should be right before you know it!
