SOTD : Saturday 14th August to Friday 20th August 2021

Wed 18 SOTD
Soap Stirling Executive Man
Brush Yaqi 24mm Mountain Lake 2 Band Badger
Razor RazoRock G37 Slant
Blade Vintage Polsilver Super Stainless 4th
Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel Wintergreen + Clubman Gents Gin
Very enjoyable soap! Love the scent, appreciate the rich, creamy and slick lather...
Shave with my top-rank razor paired with the blade was just great! Very smooth and comfortable in 3passes for a mostly bbs finish. Somehow there were 2 red creepers...but still an excellent session top-off with awesome aftershaves!

Prep: Warm shower
Brush: Cadman 30mm Tuxedo
Soap: B&M Reserve
Razor: Pearl Flexi
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Post: Cold Water and B&M Reserve

First attempt with the flexi and I have to say I like it, it has a nice heft to it which I almost always prefer. The angle was intuitive and led to a simple straight forward shave. Thought I'd ease myself into it to begin with so did the whole job on 2.5, no irritation and a decent 2 pass finish. I'll stretch its legs over the next couple of shaves and see how far I can push it.

Hope everyone has a grand day.

Cheers

Marc

Another holiday shave with a new Greek artisan pickup.

Prep: hot water
Soap: Savon Mystere - Cuba
Brush: Yaqi tuxedo 24mm
Razor: Gillette fatboy (7, 5)
Blade: Bic Astor (1)
Post: Stirling unscented balm

The soap really was amazing - could take loads of water, so creamy, so cushiony, mojito-scented with the right amount of menthol to keep things refreshing.

New blade for me - just a pick up from a local supermarket, sharp and smooth akin to a Nacet I would say, maybe slightly sharper. All in all, an invigorating 2-pass DFS to get the day started.

Wed 18th August

Omega 11126 boar
Williams Mug soap
Occams Enoch
Kai Captain Titan Protouch MG ( 5 )
Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion

As The Enoch is quite Angle sensitive , overall Shave Time is a bit more than with a Hawk V3- A Plate. I still have to convince myself of what might be the best blade for me in The Enoch.

SOTD 18th Aug
Soap - OSP samples pressed into tub
Brush - Razorock Plissoft 24mm
Razor - FrankenStar (Star head with EJ89 handle)
Blade - Lord Platinum #2
Post - Nivea
Been a long time since I shaved in work, but due to such close shave with Supply V2 yesterday and an early morning cycle to work it was a shave with an "industrial" feel to it when compared to my little Den at home.
Adequate 2 passes. Blade felt a little rough but I'd last used it about 3 months ago and my skin wasn't best prepped after the ride in to work.
Take care all.

Titan Mild all the way here. I found the super pro and the Captin became very aggressive in the Enoch.

Then again you are more than likely going to cut your fingers off than slice your face loading the damn thing.

Wednesday 18th August
Yaqi Sagrada Familia - OSP Sandalwood - 3D GEM 'Adjustable' B Plate - GEM Stainless Coated #2 - Blue Stratos A/S - Aloe Vera Gel

Lovely shave with Roger Quintero's brilliant adjustable design. The B plate is the mid aggressive plate which gave very relaxing and lovely smooth result.
