SOTD 26th July
Pre - PAA Cube
Soap - TDS Rose
Brush - Yaqi Butterscotch 22mm Cashmere
Razor - Merkur 37c Slant
Blade - Super Shave X #3
Post - Bayliss & Harding Ginseng & Black Pepper

So glad I revisited this cracking little Slant. 3 great passes resulted in a defo DFS!
Have to say this soap also impresses the more I use it! Great rose scent but the performance in terms of ease of lathering, protection and slickness is right up there with PAA, A&E and B&M. It can also take a ton of water.
Stay safe people and enjoy your shaves

On a blistering hot day, I’ve just enjoyed a very nice cooling shower shave with the tropically scented Stirling Soap Coconut Lime. As I’ve mentioned before, I get the coconut but there’s also a pineapple scent going on, so I paired it Captain’s Choice Venture balm.

As usual the ASD2 worked a treat with the Feather blade. You have to get your angle right and maybe go over tricky areas a couple more times but it feels so good in the hand.

Stay safe and enjoy your shaves!

Razor: Feather ASD2
Blade: Feather (3)
Soap: Stirling Soap Coconut Lime
Brush: Yaqi Purple Haze
Pre-shave: PAA Cube
Post-shave: Captain’s Choice Venture Balm
Bowl: Face Lather

Razor = Timeless Bronze
Blade = Gillette 7 o’clock Sharp Edge ( Yellow ) 3
Brush = Shavemac Beehive 3 Band Badger
Soap = The Merchant By Zingari Man with matching splash & balm.

Another cracker for me.
i’m loving this Merchant
it reminds me of walking through a market in Turkey which is quite Bizarre
excuse the pun :ROFLMAO:
as iv never been to Turkey or a Bizarre lol
Anyway brilliant shave
starting to like this razor a lot better although i’ll still stand by what i said it’s not a patch on the ASD2 although it certainly looks class.
Stay Safe Lads

Back on the Yaqi AC with a Feather ...

After a short break from a near-on month with the Yaqi AC, I decided to try it again. Much more intuitive this time (the little grey cells must have knitted some muscle memory into the long-term dexterity banks) and I flew through my single pass routine even with a surgically sharp Feather strapped into a cheapo Chinese piece of tat and gained my standard of shave easily. Very good indeed!

Ahhhh ... vintage Veg. Just lovely. So much more, well, Lilac-y than the modern bottle and much less astringent. A genuine pleasure! For folks thinking that the Veg was an old lady scent that has somehow found its way into traditional shaving for men, you can read some of the front of the bottle (which I love the hyphenated "be-fore"). It is indeed intended for fellows (Dandies and Rogues, perhaps?) and is indeed intended as aftershave, as one of its many benefits. Splash on face, neck, chest, top of head, done!

Yeah!
