3/4/21

Pre - Cien Soap Free Facial Wash
Brush - Yaqi Sagrada Tuxedo 24mm Knot
Bowl - Pet Slow Feed Water Bowl
Soap - Lea Professional Cream
Razor - Old Type
Blade - Gillette London Bridge (5)
Post - Witch Hazel/Lea 0%
AS - Superdrug Forest Fresh

Whenever I use a blade for the first time, for academic purposes I use it for as many shaves as is possible, even if the performance has diminished past a level at when I'd dispose the blade, not for the sake of financial aspects but to see how many shaves the blade can last.
The GLB blade was at it's best on it's 2nd/3rd shaves, and even though it's very smooth for shaves 4 & 5, it's lost a bit of efficiency but the 3.5 pass shave was incredibly comfortable and my face felt great with little to no alcohol burn at the end of the shave.
2nd time I've used the Lea Professional Cream, and I'm really impressed with the lather it produces. Aside from a few unscented shaving soaps, it might be the mildest shaving soap/cream scent I have come across.

Anyway chaps, have a good weekend.

S. - I'll send you some to try if you like - see if they suit you? - cheers - I.
Cheers for the offer Iain, but I have a few blades remaining from a pack of 5 I bought a while ago but it's been a while since I last used one.

Thanks for the offer though, I appreciate it greatly.

Today -

razor - Karve alu - c plate
blade - Feather (3)
brush - Chubby 1 - best
soap - Wickham - Apricus
post - witch hazel
a/s - 4711
balm - Wickham - Apricus
scent - Eau Sauvage parfum.

All good. The forgiving razor/Feather combo is working well for me - superbly close finish and no irritation. I was interested to read, by the report of @Boycie83 - at the suggestion of @Pontormo - the suitability of pairing 4711 with Wickham Citrus Musk. I can add to the communal knowledge base that it is also good with Apricus. It might well just be one of those aftershaves that will pretty much work with anything. I suspect so.

Enjoy your shaves one and all, if you have time off over the weekend - enjoy that too. I'll bet good money that A&E departments up and down the country will be inundated as of Tuesday - not with Covid casualties - but food poisoning - given the amount of drunken amateur-hour barbecuing that will be going on this weekend. :) Take care and stay safe - yours - I.

It was always going to be a long shot but I am loving your razor and I had to try!!! :)

Got to admit when it arrived i thought, bloody hell, its massive, heavy and will more than likely be an assertive beast. Just goes to show you cannot "judge a book" and all that, Very efficient but mild and easy to handle around the face.
So glad you are enjoying it Paul, i see you are pairing it with some of your "Royalty" blades also (y)
