The shave with the theme 'Mrs Mop goes shopping'

View attachment 63130

Yesterday was the day Mrs Mop went shopping on the bus while Mr Mop stayed at home and enjoyed a relaxing shave.

X47 bus - Stainless Mongoose
Don't forget your mask- Feather Super Professional
Shopping trolley - Steven Jagger 30mm Cashmere
Tesco club card - Bath House Cuban Cedar and Lime soap
Checkout - Bath House Cuban Cedar and Lime Edc

Another fine example of my punctuality. A day late as usual but very busy recently painting the cellar entrance as looking neglected, forlorned and in need of some TLC. Job done, just like this shave.

Everytime I use the Mongoose it always goes through my mind, 'Is the Colonial V2 really the top dog?'. Nothing less than perfection shave after shave. It also adds to why I abandoned DE's and reinforces why in the kingdom of shaving the one edged blade is king.

Never tried an SE? You need to

Want to try a great soap and want to try something different? This Bath House Cuban Lime certainly ticks all the right boxes. If you can't lather this stuff you may as well give in. It is so damn easy and so damn good. Perhaps more so with the wonderful monster Cashmere from Steven Jagger. And the scent! Totally, totally divine.

At the end of an achieving day

one very achieving shave with a big grin and a very pillow friendly face. Unlike this chap who needs to either get up and get that shit off his face or at least get the shopping in

And where is the Japanese girly band? Never fear always here to give you the only part of my SOTD of any value. Have a lovely day people

Don't you open that trap door....

Shave of the day 12th January 2021.

Razor - Koraat 14. 2.0
Soap - Hampshire Woolfat Soap
Brush - Alpha Outlaw V1 Ti - Rhodium silver tip knot
Post - Thayer's Astringent
Frag - Minotaure - Paloma Picasso

I couldn't wait to put my new soap to the test, the Hampshire Woolfat, it was nothing short of fantastic!
I was able to whip up a lather that had the consistency of a full fat yogart with the aid of my Alpha Outlaw silvertip in no time at all and with incredible ease.
The resulting lather was slick with enough cushion to alow me to glide my Koraat 14 around my face and get a great shave without spilling any of the red stuff!
Well pleased with all of the components of my shave especially the soap of which I shall be buying some more of when needed.
A spray of the wonderful Minotaure EdT by Paloma Picasso and I am clean shaven and smelling fabulous!

Take care and stay safe, until the next time,

Paul.

Good to hear this performs well - I can't wait to get mine into rotation, but waiting on some storage tins before I break out the "loose" pucks and bars I've bought recently. Thankfully I bought sufficient other soaps to ensure I've got plenty of new products to try out ;)

Vintage Month - Razor #12
Pre: Shower
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia 24mm
Soap: Tabac
Razor: Ever Ready 1912 USA
Blade: GEM PTFE S/S (9)
Post shave: Cold water Rinse, TC's infused Witch Hazel
Balm: Vintage Tabac Black
Aftershave: Tabac
Wk 2 (4) Tues.JPG
A great lather from the Tabac and little Yaqi for a dependable face covering today.
I find this little USA version of the 1912 less aggressive than its UK brothers, although, it still has that wonderful toast scraping soundtrack. Its box is a bit tatty, however, the Razor is pristine, it has probably been pushed around in a drawer for donkey's years.
3 Very comfortable passes for a BBS finish.
A nice post shave routine leaving me smelling all 1970's.
Stay Safe and enjoy your day All.
