Shave of the day 2nd January 2021

Razor - Feather AS-D2
Blade - Souplex
Soap - Figaro P.160
Brush - Wood handled barbers badger
Post - Thayers Astringent
Frag - Floris London - Leather Oud EDP

A lovely shave was had, the razor and blade combo really work for me and the barbers brush was a joy to use, very comfortable and it soon whipped up a super lather from the P.160 which was sadly discontinued a good while back.
I brought myself a few Floris frags over the Christmas period because of the wonderful sales that were on and today I used the fantastic Leather Oud which I like very much.
I've changed my shaving habits a little, some of you may remember I used a different razor and soap every day but now I tend to stick to one razor and soap for a week and I don't always shave every day, every two days is good enough for me unless I need to look extra sharp for an occasion.
So I will be posting my shave of the day picture once a week from here on in. :)

Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Fine American Blend after shave

Shaving nirvana today. Got the technique off pat with the LPL; just more loading with a damp brush. The Silver blade performs really well in the Tech. I'm tempted to buy some; but I'm swimming in Nacets, Silver Blues, Silver Blue Platinums, Gillette Wilkinson Swords, Med Preps and many others...

Hi Paul,
Nice to see you back.I too have decided not to use a different Razor every day as well as not Shaving daily.Have traded in the ATT SE-G which you modded for me. Hope 2021is kind to you.

Wash with L'Oreal Hydra Energetic Face Wash
Lather up with ABW Scanlon w/Cashmere Synthetic 24mm & VITOS Super Extra
Single pass shave with Muhle Rocca R95 & PermaSharp Super (1)
Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse & Pinaud Clubman Musk Aftershave Cologne​

I know, I know, Muhle blades are pictured and that was my intention, following my maiden shave with this razor last night and the blade that came with it. But, life is too short and while the Muhle stainless is not terrible, it's not great either - just a middling stainless blade akin to, say, Personna, which is not surprising as it is rumoured that Muhle blades are made by Personna at their Czech factory.

Anyway, so that was switched out for a PermaSharp Super, a blade that can nip me if I'm not careful. Nothing, nada, nowt. Just a smooth and close shave. Delightful! Exactly what I wanted from this razor.
