And for this evening this was a shave with the theme 'Let's get naked'
And a fantastic song to start this SOTD
Back in my youth I remember going to a party in Goole with the local esteemed doctor's son. My grandmother was delighted to say the least. The party seemed to consist of drinking copious quantities of home brew which appeared to be some months off being drinkable.
'Oh Christopher what was the doctor's son like?'
'A great bloke nan. He was arrested at three in the morning running naked around Goole docks'
Nothing to do with my SOTD, but what is new with me?
In the raw razor - Stainless Mongoose
Bollocky blade - Feather Super Professional
In the Buff brush - There wasn't one
Get Starkers soap - There wasn't one Meretricious moisturiser - Cade aftershave
This evening was going to see me self deprived of a shave and naked of razor meets skin. More through idllitis of the first order. However I thought better, but to remain idle I thought why not go back to something I tried a few years back. Dry shaving.
Requirements are very simple. Hydrated skin, a sharp blade, a razor of faith and stupidity.
Out of the shower and straight in with the blade. This isn't anywhere as bad as you might think. For some reason I find WTG easier completely dry, but XTG and ATG do need a bit of additional water. Incredibly discomforting otherwise, especially around the chin. Under the bottom lip and under the nose are a little daunting but nothing care and attention can't take care of.
Three full passes without any collateral and delightfully smooth. Rinse of cold water, a good splash and massage of Witch Hazel and a good dollop of a very essential moisturiser. An amazingly wonderful shave in naff all time without all the faff and polavar.
Yes love, but I still find this sausage more interesting
Ah well time to give you the usual end of shave sign off with some very nice Japanese ladies who are actually not that far off from being naked. Why it's those 'Bed In' girls. Enjoy (even though you have seen this before. But hey it is class)
