Later the same day I recanted on a no shave day, when I saw my mug in the mirror and reaffirmed that stubble does not really become an old(er) man!

A superb shave this afternoon smooth and clean again. A much more appropriate state for a “gentleman”, (in spite of current youth trends). I used the Semogue SOC boar's less famous twin, and it produced an even better lather than it's brother. I really like this relatively inexpensive badger, it consistently does the business... and it's so photogenic.

You've shattered my opinion on Billy Connolly :eek:. I assumed especially a fellow glaswegian, would have treated you with some respect.!..Who said 'Never Assume' it makes a ASS out of U and me..You live and learn.

Today's shave
Pre shave ; washed face with warm water
Razor- Rockwell 6s R4
Blade- Nacet
Soap- Signature soaps- Vectis
ASB- PRORASO sensitive
Moisturiser- Kiehls Facial Fuel
Appalling shaves over the last two days -rough, tugging and left my face feeling sore- a poor workman blames his tools - I blame the blade.Had left a pack of Nacets in a damp area of my man corner of the bathroom. The pack became wet . Didnt think. Should look after my blades so will move them to my man drawer in bedroom .Plus ran out of pre shave cream. Swapped the blade for a GSB for tomorrow's attempt at mowing down the night's growth. Hopefully this will improve things. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and stay safe.

All good - all things lavender - great - the Lavanda is top notch in my experience - probably - my favourite take on the theme. The supporting cast was just fine. The Caron is one of my favourite scents - opens lavender and dies down to - mostly - vanilla. Excellent sillage and longevity. So - I couldn't be arsed taking a picture of my kit today - I thought, you all would rather see Honour Blackman - in her finest plumage - suggested by me mentioning her in an earlier post today - I met her - deeply, deeply lovely - it was her voice - a bass register - the sound of a Ducati engine idling - filth is - as filth will be. May she rest in peace. Stay safe one and all - don't be an idiot over Christmas - otherwise - we will all die in January. Have great shaves all - I

Three days growth vanished very comfortably
The Cyril R Salter cream came to me via a PIF- @Dcshaves - it's very good at providing all I need from any soap/cream.

In the absence of a VetIver scented aftershave splash/lotion, I finished with Quorum - does a grand job, and the scent lingers nicely too

Suggestions for VetIver scented aftershave welcomed . . . .
 
Bit of a mixture again from me. I was feeling a bit down, a bit blue when hearing about another lockdown so decided to have a blue shave, Apart from the blade & brush off course. Then i remembered how how this soap is and it gave me that coconut holiday feel. which we're probably all missing.
Pre Shave = Elemis Oil
Razor = Feather AS-D2

Soap = Ariana & Evans St Barts
Aftersplash = Myrsol Blue ( Menthol )
Aftershave Balm = L'oréal Hydra Power .

Excellent lather from the soap. Creamy, slick with a nice cologne scent.
Shave with razor paired with the blade was outstanding & matched perfectly! So smooth and so comfortable for 3passes without any issues for a mostly bbs to dfs result. Excellent post & aftershaves! Rating 9.8
