should i get this or am i better off getting something else?

Excellent
thanks, you know what mate, now that i own this i can understand why some peeps spend a fair bit on certain razors,
before i couldnt understand it because ive only ever had the cheaper style razors and thought they would do the same job

imo i think its more about the satisfaction feeling it gives you,
like for example for myself i like the satisfied feeling a de razor or cut throat razor gives you once youve used it,
compared to a box standard cartridge razor (regardless to however many blades it may have)

Nice one, that looks the business. Hope you enjoy it.
okay so just shaved my head with this muhle razor, honestly it was a bit of a frustrating shave, i expected better, it seems very mild and i used a gillette nacet my second time shaving with the same blade, yea bit disappointed tbh...

think next time i'll give it a go with a feather to see if that makes a difference or not,
if that doesnt work i'll try the shimmethod and see if that improves things

i cant help but still feel really dissapointed in last nights head shave, ive never ever been left so frustrated then when i shaved with the razor

any chance you think i could return it the muhle set back to amazon?

'A bad worker blames his tools'!..Practice your technique and gain some shaving confidence,..'Shave the lather from your face & head ,not the stubble, & you'll be rewarded with some sublime shaves from your perfectly good muhle set The R89 is superb razor, you just have to find a blade to match your skin type with it...Don't expect to much, too soon. Enjoy your shaves.

+1 to what B says. The 89 head is an excellent all purpose head. It will be your technique that's the issue.

maybe youre right who knows but im not new to using de razors although the ones i have used are cheapo ones,
i may not have the experience of using a variety of de razors but ive used de razors for some years,
but yea maybe it is the technique i dont know

im going to try a feather blade in it next time,
i found that i had to keep going over the hair to get it off and i suppose i knew i had to put a bit more pressure than usual and get a bit rougher with it

yea maybe you and @Palmolive fox are right, i dont know but you lot are more experienced than me for sure i assume

you reckon its more to do with the blade then the razor?

it was the second time i was using it a gillette nacet and i have very thick coarse hair
