SOTD : Saturday 25th - Friday 31st July 2020.

I have to say that the shave was so good that at the very least the Leaf will be my number one razor from now on, it even beats my EJDE89 that I've always used as a benchmark. As for the 'archaic' looks of the Leaf, I know what you mean, and that's why I described it as 'steampunk'...I love the way it looks as much as the shave it gives!;)
What is it like under the nose. It looks like the best way to get your hair of is across the grain pass. Many of the YouTube videos, they use another razor to clean up under the nose.

With the Leaf I definitely had to do a cross-grain pass under the nose, but I do that with any razor. It might sound like blasphemy, but I sometimes use an electric shaver to trim the bristles right under the nose. I didn't need to do that with the Leaf though...it seemed to do a slightly better job.

including the very apt named Sentence with Rockets Johnson.

I'm rapt - by your sea tales - how did - even within the pantheon of maniacs you both describe - did 'Rockets,' get his name? - or indeed 'Captain Jesus.' I used to climb with a guy - not for very long - who was known as 'Harpic,' - which I fairly quickly came to understand - meant - that he was 'clean round the bend.' :). I.

Greetings,

An invigorating early morning cold water shave.

It's been a while since i last used the Omega shaving cream and forgot how much easy it is to create a slick protective lather, with a good kick from the Eucalyptus oil to give my face sensors a early morning wake up call!

.A great shaving cream/crope which i'll be adding more regular to my shaving set ups.

The Muhle R89 is one of my favourite DE razors purely because this superbly crafted non-aggressive Fräulein along with the Merkur 34C helped me to develop my shaving technique and gave me shaving confidence when i first introduced myself to traditional wet shaving.

A very comfortable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Creightons ~ Sensitive PSB.

My face is feeling Cool & super smooth.;)

Stay safe and enjoy your Day ladies & gentlemen.

Very nice shave today, up early and took my time.
A nice lather, slick and nicely scented,
I completed 2 WTG passes with the T-I and on the second pass i completed some XTG strokes where i felt comfortable, leaving me with a SAS result.
I then completed a buffing pass with the ECO to finish BBS.
Confidence is growing and the old muscle memory starting to kick in from my last excursion into straight razor shaving.
I have not used the Floïd post shave products for a while so they were given a run out, very nice and smelling very old school barbershop (to my nose anyway).
Sadly Mrs TC is still not able to move around much so it will be another day of me looking after her instead of taking her out for a special meal, i will have to pull out all the stops later today.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All.

Officina Artigiana A/S Splash

Lather from this Italian croap not a problem, the big Brush whips up a good lather in no time. A nicely scented soap that is very effective and protective during the Shave. In fact the lather is so dense that it is hard to appreciate the Razor at work, but work it does leaving me nicely Shaven and feeling fresh. The A/S Is pretty good, as some 5 hours after the application I can still breathe it in.IMG_0911.jpg

Happy anniversary T - I'm sure a shaved handsome face will bring a smile to Mrs T's face even if the day can't go as wished.
