Today's shave came with the theme 'I'm leaning on a lampost'

Lean edge - Feather Super Professional
Lean on me - Razorock 400
Lean cuisine - Extro Arancia

Over to Fred Halibut and his little banjolele to play you in

Bloody wonderful shave. That is it. End of

We don't all agree

And some Japanese ladies to play you out

And if you were expecting some connection to George Formby then I am sorry I let you down with Fred Halibut and his cheapened down take on the great man.

Pre Shave - Wahl Beard Trimmers
Brush - Yaqi Rainbow
Soap - Palmolive Menthol
Razor - Yaqi DOC
Blade - Indian Gillette 7 Green
Number of Passes - 5
Post - Witch Hazel
Splash - Benjamins Bay Rum Mentholated

First full face in 6 weeks, maybe more? I'd grown a pretty sizeable beard but this 30 degree heat was too much to take and it needed to come off. Grade 1 with the beard trimmers wasn't close enough and it took 5 passes to get rid of the growth around my chin.

I quite enjoyed having a beard at times, but having 6 weeks of growth is like wearing a balaclava you can't take off in a heatwave.

Have a good day gents.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Rooney 1/3 Super Silvertip Badger
Soap: Cold River Soap Works Glide Barbiere Sapone
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: Vintage NOS English Wilkie (3)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel; Bootleggers El Dorado Aftershave Splash
Scent: GFT Spanish Leather EdC

Gosh this is wonderful shaving soap. Absolutely superlative slickness and residual slickness.

Good evening everyone.

Tonight's attempt at a cooling shave after another hot day today.

Pre- Warm shower, Mr Rugged Fave soap
Soap- TGS Lemon and Mint
Razor- Rockwell 6S (R2)
Blade- Gillette Rubie (1)
Brush- ExS Medium Jock Synth
Post- Osma Alum Block, Barts Grapefruit and Pink Pepper Balm
Splash- TGS Lemon and Mint

After a last rough shave with the R4 plate I went down to the R2 and paired it with a new Gillette Rubie blade. All in all I was pleased with everything tonight, very little irritation after a rub down with the Alum Block and after applying both balm and splash, a face feeling cool and soft.

Stay safe and cool.
