Shaving recipe for today.

Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.

Pears ~ Transparent Soap Bar.

Brush: Semogue 1305.

Face Lather.

Frankensoap : Pears Transparent bar Soap + Wilkinson Sword Soap bowl.

Blade: Personna Gem PTFE .(5)

Razor: Ever Ready 1924. (US)

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint eucalyptus, Tea Tree , lemon essential Oils + menthol crystals Witch Hazel Mixture./Benjamins ~ Mentholated Bay Rum.

L'0REAL ~ Reinforcing ASB.

Greetings,

The Personna Gem PTFE blade on it's 5th use showed no signs of dulling and still feeling smooth throughout each pass cutting through my stubble with ease.

The Every Ready 1924 US (shovel head) i find the most assertive of all my Ever Ready SE razors, which took a few shaves to adjust to it's assertiveness, the cap head holds quite a lot of water when rinsing the head inbetween passes, but a quick shake removes it instantly.

I've experimented in fitting my frankenrazor handle by applying a modern grub screw but i find the original handle feels more comfortable and easier for me to find my shaving angle..YMMV.

Just like my other vintage SE ladies this vintage lady provides a pleasurable, irritation-free comfortable shave today yet again, was no exception resulting in a enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with some generous dollop of L'0REAL ~ Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling devine. ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your Day ladies & gentlemen.

Soap - Wickham 1912 Russian Leather
Brush - YaqI Tuxedo 24mm Red Marble
Razor - RazoRock Game Changer .84-P
Blade - SuperMax Blue Diamond Titanium #1
Post - Superdrug Forest Fresh ASL

The Game Changer / Blue Diamond pairing was a perfect balance of efficiency and smoothness from the first stroke.
I've seemed to have fallen in to using Gillette Silver Blue's and Platinum's exclusively recently, not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's good to re-visit different blades, and the Blue Diamond Titanium is as good as the Gillette's, in the Game Changer imo.

Soap Arko
Brush Yaqi 26mm Rainbow
Razor Gillette Red Tip
Blade Silverstar 2nd
Post & Aftershave
Ice Water + Special Thayers Mix
Hyaluronic Acid + Proraso Balm
This is the most amazing shave soap. Just a little...goes a loooooong way and in this case...a luxurious and slick lather. Nice scent too. The brush is great for both face and bowl lather and today...very nice!
Shave with razor paired with blade although nice and smooth but not so efficient. 3 multiple pass enough. Wanted but refrained again from that buffing atg pass in the neck area which always results in weepers or irritation. Today mostly DFS. Ice water & Thayers followed by Hyaluronic and Balm...
wow..what a great postshave feel! Rating today 9/10

I have had some really excellent shaves this week and today was no exception.
The 1912 soaps work really well for me and give a fantastic cushioning lather.
2 passes WTG & XTG then a buffing pass ATG picking up, well for want of a better word - "Gunpowder".
I did not think my skin would manage the OC on the "Bird" so this week has been very rewarding. The first time i used it i thought "Bloody Hell! that's one for the storage drawer".
The RPL blade could comfortably go again, although, i see no reason to, i need to start getting through my blade stash.
A great post shave starting with a Cold water splash & witch hazel rub, A very nice face massage with the Barts Balm finishing with a splash of Vintage 4711, what more could a shaver want.
BBS, supple, comfortable and smelling very nice.
Stay safe and Enjoy your day All.

TOBS Sandalwood Herbal Shave Soap
How do you find the TOBS soap. I'd recently been struggling with mine which is a few years old now. Do you face or bowl lather yours?

Pre - Trumpers Sandalwood Skin Food
Cream - TOBS Mr Taylor
Brush - Traditional Shave Co. Silver tip Badger
Razor - Merkur 34G
Blade - Wilkinson (4)
Post - Alum followed Trumpers Sandalwood Skin Food

I managed to whip up so much lather with this cream much of it fell off my brush into the sink. I still had plenty for a three pass shave. Nice comfortable shave. BTW, I don't recommend the travel tubs from TOBS as this was dried out from the start. It's more like a soft soap than a cream. I usually dip the tips of my brush into the cream which is sufficient.

Prep : warm water / Proraso green pre-shave
Razor : Kurenai GF33S / Fatip Grande OC
Brush : Proraso boar
Blade : Schick Pro-Line / Gillette 7 O'clock Super Stainless
Soap : Proraso green
Alum : De Vergulde Hand
After shave : Denim original

Yeah, definitely the Schick is a much nicer blade then the Dorco. 11 shaves and it feels still very smooth. I don't think I buy the Dorco's again in the future

Thur 14th May.
RR 400. SE-Plissoft noir
P & B Spitfire
RR V3-OC, HD handle
Feather Proguard [ 2 ]
P & B Spitfire A/S Splash

My Second Shave with the Hawk V3, and I slowed down the pace a little thus ensuring the areas neglected yesterday were properly dealt with. The Shave was completed without mishap, but because I pushed rather hard to get a close finish, I felt on need of an Alum rub which tingled. No residual soreness or irritation so will continue with to use it for a few more days, perhaps a change of blade after Day 4.
