What's the strangest food?

Let's see: kangaroo, ostrich, snails, ants, frog legs, uni, sweetbreads, barren land caribou, kudu, impala, springbok, wild boar, guinea fowl, dove, javelina, wild turkey, elk, tripe, alligator, prairie oysters, birds' nest soup, sharks' fin soup, cobra... probably others, but my little grey cells fail me.

Dried squid. Someone at work went to Japan and bought back a box of dried squid. No one would touch them. I ate one, and thought they tasted really nice, a bit salty though. So I took the whole box.

I bet they were great! I love squid ... dried, yeah, I can guess. I'd have a go.

Today, I had something a little odd ...

My pal had Liver Masala for starters, something I'd eaten at this place last time I visited but having what I had for mains I opted for Paneer Pakora ... cheese, deep-fried, basically. For mains, my mate had a lamb shank, curried ... I had this:

Minced meat, some have commented. Chick peas, even.

It's brain. Sheep brain. Sheep Brain Curry. Magaz, or Maghaz in it's Pakistani tongue.

Bloomin' lovely! Very rich and even I could not finish it. It's all saturated fat and a 400g portion is something like 4000% the RDA of cholesterol. I know folks with high cholesterol live long and well, so guess today I'm going to live forever!

Bloomin' gorgeous! Just less next time ... or a sharer dish.
