Everyone is waiting to find out what metal it is made of. Word is that it will be made in Ohio (that's a state in the USA for those of you in the U.K. who shot pool during geography class ). If Gillette was smart they would do it with MIM and in stainless. I would not hold my breath on that however.

If I were pregnant with a boy, I'd be tempted to buy one as a birth year razor for him. Luckily, as I'm not, I'll read about it with interest and I might buy one NOS when it's below a tenner on ebay...

Thanks for the heads up. Just bought 500 Merkur blades with the ten packs going for only $14! Yep, just over $700 well spent.

Gillette reissue the Tech yawn, can get a good Ikon head for that kind of dosh.

It looks like they are potentially redesigning it a bit.
It might just be my eyes but it seems like the new handle might be a tad longer - and I do wonder what the material will be.
