Thank you, very kind of you to say so! Even though not that worthy or even close.

Shower
Erasmic Shaving Soap
Kent Infinity Silvertex
Valet VC4 (British) - Feather Hi-Stainless Platinum [2]
Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse & Alum Wash
Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

Bowl Lathered
Two Pass - WTG & XTG

Ahhhhhh ....

What a lovely light, easy and smooth shave.

The VC4 is a little cracker! Mine has the short handle and came in a small Bakelite box with the strop in pretty reasonable condition. Used with modern Feather blades, I see little use for the strop, but it's nice to have in the set.

Prep: Proraso pre/post sensitive
Soap: Cella
Brush: SOC
Razor: Ikon S3S
Blade: Polsilver SI

Not used the proraso in a while and forgot how good it was. Nice close shave. Getting used to angle needed for the S3S now.

Shower
Merkur 37c Slant
Astor [2]
RSC Cream, face lathered
Omega Boar
Hmmm, I got on so well with the 37c slant from the pass around, so bought one. Why I am not getting the same results? Its not as close, and I'm getting weepers..... Have I got a dud!?!
I'll try a Rapira supersteel next...

Prep- Biotherm Homme Facewash

Second shave with this razor, a WTGx2 Shave resulting in a very close shave with a couple of weepers on the problem area of my chin. Still zoning in on this razor's sweet spot.

Saturday:

Crap shave

Sunday:

As crap as Saturday

Monday:

Ah - that's better.

The Gillette Yellows are so rough for me that not even a Digress on a low setting or a Weber can smooth it out. It's the only shaving product / hardward that I'm completely at odds with the general consensus. Saturday and Sunday I even had to use balm! The I Coloniali is OK and works fine with other blades but I won't replace it once used.

For Monday I used a Jabonman sample (Mountain) before starting on the Sierra and Violet tubs I ordered. Very, VERY good. With the Weber and the English Wilikies it was a superb shave.

Have a good 4-day week.

Tuesday

I haven't shaved since Thursday, had a glorious five day weekend. Needless to say there was plenty of beard to clear, what better for the task than the Slant.

Mitchell's Wool Fat
Semogue SOC Boar
iKon Slant
Voskhod
DR Harris AS

Three passes and BBS, no problem for the slant.

Hot water splash
Tea tree and grapeseed shave oil
Li Jun & 1980 Badger
Ingrams cream
Gillette 59
7 o'clock yellow (2)
Witch hazel and glycerine splash

Good shave but a bit rushed.

Greetings
