My Shave today consisted of...
Prep Proraso preshave balm
Brush Highlander Walnut handled Omega Boar badger LE 2023 brush.
Soap GFCC Peppermint.
Razor Stainless Steel Mongoose.
Blade Feather Pro.
Aftershave Ultra Male.

Today's shave christened my new Highlander Boar LE brush.
Perfect grip and well balanced handle and some funky mothballs type smell from the bristles when lathering. Lesson of the day is I should have rinsed it a few times before using it lol, that my error.
The Mongoose made shaving super fast and easy, making me delectable and gorgeous.
Have a great evening everyone.

Why hello everyone and welcome back my friends to the shaves that never end. And neither do I. This short SOTD ends on the theme, 'Puzzled?'

A Chinese puzzle - Gillette Super blue
An inquisitive brush - PAA Pelegrino
Soapy puzzle - Bath House Orange flower
A moisturiser? - Collegen
Questionable scent - Laboratory Perfumes Samphire

'Dickless'

The question being, how the hell does this razor manage to shave so close and yet sits on the 'so mild it isn't even mild' fence. I would happily let my granddaughters shave me with this razor. May be I wouldn't.

But it did shave me and made a smashing job of it.

Now one of the Tatara's has gone the Feather is moving in to the rotation. Welcome.

Puzzling? Band Maid seem to think so being as they are my Japanese girlies of the day...

Thursday 28 September
Today Gillette Old Type Set 1921-28, made in England, the box is in excellent shape but the silver lettering inside would indicate that this gold plated razor wasn’t its original inhabitant. Or the person putting razors in boxes at the factory had a previously heavy night. Nevertheless, it’s a great addition to my vintage collection.
Anyway, the shave, thanks for asking, no complaints from me, soap, brush, razor and blade combo all performed perfectly. 2 passes plus pick ups for a bbs finish. Larga vida a la experiencia del afeitado húmedo!
No, I don’t know why I typed that in Spanish either.
Have a fine day fellas!

IMG_2533.jpegWhat a shave 3 passes of luxurious lather and a scent to die for,
Could be a bit stronger mind you but the cologne makes up for the lightly scented cream.
I’m now in Tenerife & this was an early morning shave before heading out for a bit of breakfast & a couple of shandy’s
well why not ah.
Iv pretty much went of synthetics over the last 6 months or so but i’m slowly starting to warm to them again.
Obviously nothing to do with the brushes it’s just me being me.
Bloody Awkward.
I reckon these london creams are some of the best in the business,
most have been going 100 years or so so i guess they must be doing something right.
There seems to be a sophistication to them,
a bit of elegance,
a more gentlemanly feel although that’s all probably bull s
but hey i genuinely think they do.
Ok lads enjoy your weekend when it comes,
don’t do anything i would

Is it worth spending a little more for your shaving accoutrements? Sometimes. Today was one of those days when everything was magical and the cost was definitely worth it. The Blackbird did the kind of job usually only an R41 can do, but with simply so much more comfort. Unexpectedly excellent.
