Greetings All,
Thursday shave
(Apologies of the delay – another inter-island business trip)
One day's growth and warm shave
Preparation – Showered then face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood Shaving Cream
Razor: Rockwell 6C (4P)
Blade: Lord Platinum (4th)
Brush: RazoRock 400 (face lather)
Post Shave: Hot then cold water rinse, Alum, Nivea 2 Phase followed by Michael Kors.
Lord Platinum Test
Day 4
Did the TOBS mask any shortcomings of the blade on the 4th shave - possibly, but it seems to have for the other tests. Ended up with a great finish and very pleased with the results.
Interesting blade and test. My initial final thoughts are that this blade would be excellent for DE beginners as it is very forgiving and mild, so also ideal for sensitive skin. It did deliver a clean shave each time and apart from some buffing weepers, I never felt as though I would nick myself.
I thought I would be saying that this blade is:
too mild
has no longevity
lacks efficiency
But, thinking about it, I actually like the blade and as I only use a blade for a max of 5 days, the Lord Platinum I feel would not becoming useable. So, my ranking. . .
1. Shark SS
2. Lord Platinum
3. Gillette Nacet
4. Astra SP
5. Perma-Sharp Super
Cheers,
Brian
