Greetings All

Another nice shave from the ER Chrome/"Streamline". Will have to start paying attention to my DEs before long (he said, awaiting a Schick E3)! This ER is a special occasion one...I'll end up using nothing else :)

Proraso M &E cream (what else would you use when it's minus four degrees outside?!)
RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
Steve Woodhead Ceramics bowl
Gem Personna #2
Thayer's and Proraso M &E a/s

Be well, everyone.

Yea, know what you mean, My DEs have taken a back seat! :)

I was feeling very Gekko this morning as I pulled out and used my rather heavy Armani shaving set from the 1980s

Thing is - it was a great shave :)

Pre Shave: Hot Shower and GFT Coral Skin Food
Razor: Fatip Piccolo
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)
Brush: ToBs Badger brush
Cream: L'Occitane Cade
Post: Cold water and Thayers cucumber
Balm: Nivea Original Replenishing

2nd time using GFT Coral Skin Food, last time it seemed to give me some reaction when applied but this time it was fine. The Gillette Silver Blue is now one of my top blades, only tried this blade 3 times but very impressed so far, living up to it's reputation as I see many others rate this blade. Great Monday morning shave.

Nice setup with a good blade.

Scottish fine soaps classic,
Omega 49,
Vostok-3 5/8 full hollow straight,
Thayers unscented witch hazel,
Oud 24,

I wasn't 100% on the sharpness of the Vostok last time I used it, after receiving it I gave it a good stropping, first with paste on balsa, then on leather, it did cut, just not as efficiently as I was expecting, so I re honed it, tonight it was much better, it's strange how each straight razor has its own personality, a 5/8 razor is just about the perfect size for me, and for some reason I seem to be able to shave a lot quicker now than I used to.
