SOTD Saturday 14th to Friday 20th March 2015

Prep: Hot wash with dove soap.
Soap: J Petermans 1903 concentrated cream.
Brush: Grooming Co. Synthetic Badger.
Razor 1: Revisor 5/8 full hollow ground round point.
Razor 2: 1966 Gillette Slim adjustable #4
Blade: Supermax titanium coated. #2
Post: Malizia Uomo Vetyver.

My first outing with this brand spankin Revisor, I must admit that I was skeptical about it shaving very well, I think because it was so light compared to my Kropp and King cutter. However I was wrong, I resisted the urge to apply pressure and just let the razor do the work, surprisingly I got a good 2 pass shave, so confident was I that I even tried an ATG on most of my neck which is a first. I really do like this razor, the bumf I got in the box tells me I shouldn't strop it until after several shaves, is this true with new razors?

The 1903 as always was a pleasure to use, lathered so well from so little product nice slick lather that so far has never failed to impress, no matter what aftershave or balm I use, the 1903 always sneaks through and I get whiffs for most of the day.

A tidy up with the adjustable was needed as I am still learning with the straight, resulted in a nice and smooth feel.

Another very handsome handle, Lee. You should position it centre-stage in your photos. It looks like it fits in hand very well with weight balanced the end. I especially like the neck design.
Idea for an alternative name... the baseball bat.

Yeah, I like that!
I'm just learning to fit everything in, but I'll get the hang of SOTD photos ;)

I like that razor and that vintage Bulova is very nice, too! I have a 1957 President and love it more than any watch I've ever had!
But, like the popular razor with the modified handle end, I digress
