Soap - Speick Stick
Brush - Omega 11819
Razor - Gillette New OC
Blade - Lancet Advance Platinum (3)
Post - Lea Balm
AS - Ben's Bay Rum Menthol

Speick is a shaving stick which carries a very high reputation, and I have used it a few times but that was a sample I'd bought from the excellent Shave Dash. From what I recall, my experiences with it were fairly good but I remembered it to be a good if not exceptional performer.

For today's shave, I gave my newly acquired full size stick (not a sample) from Connaught a run out. When I am using any shave I always dip the end of the stick in warm/hot water before rubbing it on my face and I did the same today but it didn't do much good, the stick was still rock hard, and it was like rubbing a pleasant scented pebble from my garden over my face. Whilst I was building my lather it was apparent I hadn't loaded enough soap and my lather was a little on the thin side of things, but I still had just enough lather to see a 2 pass shave.
The lather is very slick and it sits very comfortably on the skin, and I love the scent. I had enjoyed using the sample, but for a shave stick I think it's difficult to assess sample soap shavings in comparison to the full stick itself.
A very nice and comfortable shave with the LAP blade in the Gillette New OC, it's a very smooth and comfortable razor.

Anyway chaps, I hope you have a good day.

Pre: Shower
Brush: Simpson Commodore X1
Soap: Signature Soap Hibernia
Razor: Razorock ECO
Blade: 0.5 NOS Permasharp Supreme (4)
Post shave: Cold water splash, TC's Infused Witch Hazel
Balm: Barts Balm Lime Balm & Lotion
Aftershave: Mäurer & Wirtz 4711 EDC

I really like this Hibernia soap, light, citrus and summery, a lovely face Lather today with the little X1 best, the scent of the soap ever present during the lather build up, plenty held in the little brush for the shave.
2 passes and a touch up on the whirlpools for an easy comfortable BBS finish, the blade has been banked on #4, just in case, no point in pushing it, i should say 3 shaves in a DE before this shave, so its done well.
A nice post shave continuing the citrus theme. very nice.

Boar Break-in
Another couple of test lathers with the new boars to aid the break in.
Again with the Williams Mug shaving soap.
Both Performed well.

TAJ
I think the lather from the Torga was better as i now realise the TAJ holds a bit more water, nothing a bit more whisking will not cure.

They are starting to look like used brushes now, i think i will start using them from next week, strictly Bowl lathering until the tips begin to split.

Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien ~ PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
Brush: Frank Shaving 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather : Derby Lavender Shaving Cream.

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils. 3 Menthol crystals. Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Nivea men ~ Sensitive PSB./ Herbs of Bulgaria ~ Lavender ASL.

Greetings,

Early morning shave,

The razor & blade duo paired together superbly, mowing through my stubble effortlessly....Out of all my TTO parker DE razors the 92r is the most aggressive...The consistent assertiveness of the Silver Star SS blade throughout the week has been superb.

The derby lavender cream which i haven't used for a while provided me a wonderful slick protective lather which made my early morning shave a pleasurable shaving experience.

Another enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups very close comfortable near BBS shave with no errors to report...A great shave to finish my shaving week....Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Herbs of Bulgaria ~ Lavender ASL.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.
When I see those razors I imagine the head going "BOING" on what looks like a spring handle, sort of a bobblehead razor. Yes, I know it's not a spring.

"Gillette New OC" What kind? Could be a ball end LC or a "Standard" or a Deluxe, flat bottom, long slot, or...

To truthfully answer your question, I do not know but it looks like this.

Paul @pjgh sent it to me. He told me a lot of the plating had come off so he removed the remaining plating to the brass underneath. It didn't come with a handle so I use with the Fat Handle Tech's handle.

It shaves beautifully though and forms a part of my razor rotation of Old Type, Fat Handle and Ball End Tech I seem to use maybe 80- 90% of the time? The two closed comb heads were the ones I enjoyed using the most, but over the last 6 months the two OC heads are the ones I am enjoying using more and more.

Hi Toby, it a German Pewter trinket dish I found when looking for soap containers for the Signature Soaps I had been buying, not too sure of its history but its old, it has an Angel hallmark on it.
Good value for £4 from that well known auction site.
Looks great and works brilliantly for WMSS.

The Fatip is an all brass OLD type clone, and apparently some of them have alignment issues, so, even the Fatip guys "don't know what they're doing", again, vintage is better. It's pretty bad when they can't even copy an existing razor without screwing it up.
It is indeed. I liked mine and alignment was fine; only selling it to further some more vintage purchases.
