Sunday

Phoenix and Beau Baskerville
Semogue 2000 Boar
Face lather
Gillette Old
Gillette Rubie #2
Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Floïd Mentally Vigorous

Another cracking shave. I hadn't used my 2000 brush for a while and it's still casting a few bristles. Not problematic; it's a big brush. It does affirm why I prefer synthetics, generally (although I still get results from my wee Semogue 1470 and 1520).

The Baskerville gave a lovely thick lather and by the third pass, that lovely film of slickness that I like.

My 1920s Old is near enough perfection. Efficient (or aggressive, if you like) yet very smooth when handled correctly.

Brush: Edwin Jagger best badger
Razor: The Personal Barber
Blade: Pol Silver
Soap: Stirling Mountain Man sample
Post: Alum and Bart's Balms Amber and Moroccan Jasmine lotion

Followed up with Solid Cologne Felix.

Everything about the shave was good except for the soap, it was awful. Poor slickness and the general quality of the lather was naff. Good job it was only a sample as it would have been a huge waste of money.

A very close and good shave with the Eskimo set to 3 and paired with the fantastic Lodz Polsilver helped along with the wonderful Cyril R Salter Tallow soap. Finnished off with a few sprays of Afrika Olifant perfume extract , a lovely Sunday morning shave.
