Shave of the day Saturday 22nd - Friday 28th July 2017



First outing with the OB Core. Utilizing 'Steve the daily shaver's' advise of a little pressure and long smooth strokes paid dividends. It has given me a really good shave, really good. No irritation and not one weeper, Dolphin smooth in fact. I was a tad worried how this would shave but it's done well. It's a keeper in my den.​
 
The General by @colonial_razors is my favorite razor! It is allways pleasure to use it! Blue's shaving soap is underrated. Great, simple soap. Nivea Man and 444 combo is awsome!

This morning shave.

Prep: warm water splash
Razor: WS Hydro 5 (2)
Brush: Simpsons Chubby Synthetic
Cream: Simpsons Peppermint & Rosemary
Post: Forever Aloe Gelly
Scent: Floris Santal

I'm starting to rearlise now that the synthetics hold a lot of water they don't need, I imagine they need to be near dry to get the thick creamy lather I desire.

Not sure why I reached for the wife's gelly but it did a super job, it's left my skin feeling ace with an easily absorbed but thick and matting layer, a good one for the winter I think.
