AOS Super Badger
Filarmonica SubCero 12
Sulwhasoo Essential Skin Refiner
Sulwhasoo Moisturizing Fluid
Sulwhasoo Energizing Cream
HEELEY-VERVEINE D'EUGÈNE EDP

prep: Hot shower
Soap: Emu & Peppermint oil
Blade: Astra SP
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable, set to 5
Brush: EJ Best Badger
Post Shave: Alum block
ASB: Nivea Sensitive

Ruddy excellent, first time I've been brave enough to run the razor on 5 with a brand new Astra SP, 1 pass and a slight polish and BBS chops, even the dodgy neck area :)

I can feel the bladde on my skin, not something I get on the lower settings, when I tried it here a few weeks back, with a Blue Diamond, I cut myself in a couple of places so backed the razor off, improved techique and a 'better' blade and yes, yes, YES.. :D

Merkur 45
Gillette Platinum from 1971
Bluebeard's Revenge shaving cream
Edwin Jagger boar
Bluebeard's Revenge aftershave balm

Good apart from an impressive slice below the bottom lip

Feather AC SS non-folding
Feather AC ProGuard (3)
Semogue 1438 boar
Vitos Extra Super Coconut
Weleda After Shave Balm
Diptyque Tam Dao edt

I'm enjoying my fast, early morning, two pass shave with the Feather. Two weeks in and I'm getting consistent results. Not BBS as I came to expect with a three pass DE shave (DFS in reality) but no less satisfying.

The question is: when do I start selling some of my now 'surplus to requirements' DEs?

Prep: unknown soap and flannel rub
Soap: Derby lavender, first time using surprisingly nice scent after reading comments about its chemical nature
Razor: Gillette Rubie
Blade: Viking's sword
After: Nivea after shave balm

Not a bad DFS considering done in a cramped Paris hotel bathroom. Really liked t the new shave cream.

Friday x January 2014

Prep: Shower, L'Oreal daily Purifying Wash
Pre: Tepid water splash
Brush: Semogue 1305
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Razor: Ever Ready 1924 "Shovelhead"
Blade: Gem PTFE #3
Post: Home brew mentholated lemon tea tree WH, Weleda ASB

Result: 1305 and MWF = match made in heaven; I now see what all the fuss is about around MWF. After sustained period of usage and with the right brush it is providing a fantastic shave. And three shaves into the Gem blade it is smooth and I have zero irritation. A fine start to the day.

Have a good day, gents.

Jon

EJDE89
Ecotool kabuki (bamboo handle)
Polsilver stainless (5)
tabac
bergamot e/o witch hazel homebrew
Lifeplan organic aloe vera moisturiser gel

last run for this blade - so far the stainless polsilver is not living up to its Polsilver SI brother but a decent blade nonetheless. tabac has about 3 shaves left in it. Im experimenting with a wetter lather and am enjoying the simplicity of face lathering. good shave in all

Second time using this razor and improved my technique on yesterday. Glad I bought it, it's all good. Wondering what it would be like loaded with a Sputnik...

Enjoy your day, everyone.
