S.O.T.D. Saturday 8th March to Friday 14th March 2014

Tuesday evening

Muhle R41
Bic chrome Platinum
Kent BLK12
Fitness For Men soap
Cella Classica Colonia

Not used the R41 for a long time and the Bic, which has become a favourite blade in my other razors, feels a bit harsh here but can't complain about the shave - still smooth this morning.

The Kent and Fitness for Men created a comicially huge amount of great lather.

the Cella classica colonia is a new buy and the second time I've used it as a splash. Very nice scent and this morning my skin feels great so not bad at all. Used it as a body splash this morning after my shower. I like this stuff a lot.

Greetings

Wednesday 12 March, 2014

Morning all.

Prep: Hot shower, Bulldog Facial Wash
Pre: Tepid water splash
Brush: Simpson's TSN LE 185/200
Soap: Figaro P.160
Razor: Cobra Classic SE
Blade: Kai Captain #2
Post: Alum, Honeybee Gardens Sandalwood ASL, Simpson's ASB
Fragrance: NOS Sir Irisch Moos ASL

Result: Very nice. The Cobra seems to get me as close as I like to go with two passes and small touch ups of my awkward areas. Still very much enjoying the Figaro and the TSN LE brush.

Happy Days...

Jon

Wednesday

Mitchell's Wool Fat
New Forest Tubby 2
Clog-Pruf

Great shave, the Tubby devoured the soap, this thing will lather anything. Supper smooth and comfortable.

MWF scuttle lathered
Brush made by myself, TGN Finest badger 22mm
Gillette 1936 Aristocrat

A fine shave, the Aristocrat is a step up in aggression from the mild Parat I used yesterday.

Hot Flannel
Cade
Plisson Synthetic
Progress @1
Feather (5)
Alum Block
Myrsol Agua Balsamica
Comme des Garcons 2

Very mild shave today as I got a bit whipped yesterday diving through brambles. Had been wandering through the woods trying to avoid various quagmires ... they are quagmires for a reason. :icon_rolleyes:

Chris.

Cold water splash
Valobra Stick (grated in tin)
Shavemac 177 Silvertip
Weber Polished / Bulldog handle
Gillette Silver Blue (4)
Myrsol Emulsion as ASB
Lalique Hommage a l'Homme EdT

Another excellent, smooth shave today. I've recently changed my technique in the neck area and it's paying dividents with zero irritation. This could be embarrassing to admit but it's taken me over a year to figure out the exact grain of my beard growth in that area!

Don't tell the new guys (don't wanna discourage em), but it took me that long to figure my neck out properly.

37c
Gillette thai superthin (3)
Boots freshwood soap, a/s and balm
Bergamot witch hazel
Bodger 404

3 days of growth mown down easily. Boots soap performed well and the smell is champion! One more outing for the slant and it's month is up. Tempis fugit.
