cold water shave today which may have affected the soap (?) - felt a bit scrapy on the 1st pass. will try with warm water next time to check. managed to cut myself by being a bit too casual with the razor - been a while since i've done that :)

A very nice easy shave, the Jabonman easy to lather and the scent lovely. The lather disappeared in the scuttle by the end of the second pass. I'm not sure if it's the warmth of the scuttle or my lathering technique ? plenty of lather still in the brush. Smelling good from the Violet cologne.

First shave with this brush. Lovely soft tips and just the right balance of backbone to floppiness. Kept the BB on setting '5' for all 3 passes. Smooooooth.

I don't think this shave could have been any better!

From the fresh blade to the lovely scrape with the 1914 through the perfect lather to be finished with a cleansing wash and a great aftershave, made better only by the Tabac picking up the patchouli from the lather.

What a shave!

So pleased with it, I took a second picture ...

Missus burst into the bathroom in a panic thinking I was shaving my beard and ridiculously glorious moustache. Once she saw that all my whiskers were still in place she visibly relaxed.
