Very nice brush, Bilbo!

Looks to me like he sets the loft too high - he has one at 60mm. How does yours go?

Thank you so much.
Probably you are right. Those brushes are just some prototypes that I received from a new artisan, Nero Ardesia here in Italy, and I'm testing them.

Daniele.

Barbershop Bay Rum a/s
Woods of Windsor balm and edt

Another great shave with the Fatboy set low. 2 passes and a bit of buffing. Coming to the end of this Wickham sample. What a soap! The brush is also coming into it's own - it's bloomed wonderfully and helps create a great lather. Today's shave is thanks to the talents of our members here :)

Friday

Morning, everyone.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Green Gillette 7 o' clock (20)
Brush: Kabuki Bamboo
Shave soap: La Toja grated
Aftershave: Cien Ebony
Cologne: Soap and Glory, Eau Man!

Ended the week with an accidental problem-free BBS. Decent prep and a good soap will still deliver even when the blades on its twentieth use. A new blade for tomorrow, though.

FRIDAY MORNING

Razor: Gillette Slim Twist
Blade: Feather
Brush: Semogue 2011 LE boar 2
Soap: Stirling frozen tundra
AS: Lilac veg
Balm: GFT sandalwood skin food
EDT: GFT Wellington

On lates this week so managed a morning shave.

Needed a safe shave so chose the above combo.

Three passes delivered a DFS finish which I then had to buff a bit (I think this razor might need a smudgeon of pressure). You could easily use this razor daily without any dramas.

The Wellington and the Veg go very nicely together. I'm not overly keen on the 'enry Cooper style splash it all over cap on the Wellington bottle but it does smell very nice.
