The result isn't a patch on the Mongoose but I'm appreciating the variation. I might rotate this with a Sensor cartridge that's seen a similar number of shaves for comparison's sake.

Great shave, took extra care as these old types can bite. Just got this razor - it's in great condition but am having trouble identifying it as there are no marks or serial numbers anywhere.

The keen eyed may have noticed two razors. 1st time ever using a straight and don't mind admitting, bit nervous so I only did the easier bits and finished the nose & chin with the Gillette New on both passes.

Brush: Vie-Long horse, LEA edition.
Soap: Nanny's ice & slice.
Razor: 5/8 King Cutter.
Post: Malizia Uomo Vetyver.
Strop: Westholme starter Hemp/leather.

2 pass wtg shave very smooth but not bbs. I am still too cowardly to go atg as i just cant get a comfortable grip. The nanny's has a very nice scent about it and whilst there is a very good cooling effect its not as strong as say Ingrams.

4 days of growth and it was beginning to itch! The majority was swept away after the first smooth pass....the 37c is a fantastic razor. The Tiki DJL and Clubman musk seemed to pair quite nicely. Excellent shave.

Tried ages ago with the ladas and didn't get on with them. Today was a different story, lovely smooth shave.

Nice old blade that a member sent me a while back. Still two left in the 5 pack.

Liked this Marlborough scent from the start. Very nice understated woodsy kinda thing that lingers during the shave. Harris makes some good stuff.
