July 28 - birthday shave
The Aristocrat #66 coronation razor gave me a great shave today. It is a beautiful piece of history as well as being my birth year razor.

First time using a Wickham hard soap. This one was Spice Trade, I scent of which I've tried the Super Smooth soft soap in the past. I squished the soap sample into the bottom of a tupperware container and bowl lathered.

This soap is weird. At first it looks thin and foamy but after a minute or so lathering in a bowl it all at once changes to a thick creamy consistency. I must have overloaded the brush because it generated mountains of lather. I thought I better open a window if this monster's gonna get any bigger!
The lather actually improved with each pass. By the third pass it was majical.

I reckon Wickham's hard soaps outperform his softs. Well done Darron. A great shave.

I mean, just look at the amount of lather from this soap!
