Not my favourite razor this one, but thought it was due a run out.. Blade didn;t work that well with it either - a little tuggy... Still the Nanny's was outstanding, so all was not loss.
A decent shave all in all!

Used my Gillette Black Beauty for the first time today.

- but I can't help but to think that a '9' on the Black Beauty is like a '6' or '7' on a Slim.

Have I been away from the Gillette adjustables for too long or have anyone else noticed something similar?

From what I recollect, the Slim and Super shaved me about the same at the same settings. You might have got a razor from a run that was just a little different in some way. Or I could be wrong about everything and you are right.

In general, all the adjustable Gillettes cranked all the way up are gonna feel like maybe a 2 or 2.5 on a Progress.

You're making me want to get a Progress :D

S.O.T.D. Saturday 21st March to Friday 27th

Fourth shave with the Feather Artist club SS pass around and I'm getting the hang of it now. Down to one or two micro nicks and BBS on nearly all of my face, but still getting irritation on my neck. I'll keep trying to improve my technique as I want no irritation as well as BBS. I think leaving it more than twenty four hours between shaves would help, too.

Vitos shaving soap
Razorock Zi Peppino a/s balm
Semogue - forget about which model

Tuesday 24th
Razor - GEM lite (on loan)
