S.O.T.D Saturday 1st July - Friday 7th July

Sunday

Olive Oil soap and Man Cave Olivestone Facial Scrub
NOS Old Spice Shave cream
Omega S10083 synthetic brush
Feather Portable with Treet Durasharp Carbon Blade (#2)
Alum Block
Naissance Aloe Vera Gel
Old Spice AS

The Feather Portable has always been one of my favourite travel razors....and for me..... 'knocks spots' off the Gillette Techs I have used. The Durasharps are incredibly sharp. They are cheap...so I usually bin after 2 shaves to avoid problems with rust.
3 Pass BBS and I am set for an afternoon horse riding in the Brecon Beacons.

Have a nice day everyone!

Brush: Vie Long 04503
Razor: Standard Razor
Blade: Wilkinson Sword (1)
Soap: Valobra Cologne
Post: Thayers Rose, Aloe Vera Gel & Pecksniffs Professional

A rough feeling shave, I don't know whether it was my error or a rough blade. A few annoying weepers, lather was superb as one can expect.

You have fantastic weather for a day in the Beacons :)

Grevinnans Rum PreShave Soap, La Savonniere Du Moulin Shave Stick, Cadman 26mm Silvertip, RazoRock Bazooka, Astra SP (24), Cold Rinse.

What a shave! Smooth and close, with no sign of issues on the blade. The soap was slick and protective, and leaves my skin feeling sublime.

Great vid Nick, I love that soap and it is worth every penny, great post shave feel :)

2/7/17

Pre - RSC Facial Scrub
Soap - Vitos Red
Brush - Omega 82065
Razor - DE89
Blade - Personna Platinum Chrome (5)
Post Shave - Witch Hazel

Of the 10 or so different soaps I've tried so far (small fry to many others I imagine) I've found Vitos Red produces my favourite lather by quite some margin, but my post shave sensation isn't quite there with Palmolive so I am still questioning whether to purchase a block of Vitos at some point.

Mitchells Wool Fat
Simpson CH2
GEM 1912 Damaskeene
Ever-Ready Corrux
Geo. F. Trumper Coral skin food
Yardley 1770 EdT

My first try with a Corrux blade, refreshed with a Cr0x pasted paddle strop and then 80 laps on hanging leather... A surprisingly smooth and sharp shave ensued! I also have a NOS Damaskeene blade but it looks a bit too ravaged by time to try, I'll have to grab some more from eBay.
