Yes, I will be letting it tarnish naturally, life is too short to be getting the metal polish out after every use!

A polish cloth does the job, I use one on brass OCMM & Gem Jnr 1912,works a treat, lasts a while too.

I feel a case of RAD on the horizon, after new boiler trying to economise. But it does look good in a shaving scenario.

I have the same feelings at times. I really enjoyed the shave this morning. I will spend some more time with it next week.

I agree. I polished enough brass in the Army.

Was that for Ceremonial or on a daily basis. I found that in my last years of service, not too much brass polishing was required.

Ceremonial when I was on active duty but all the time when I attended a military college.

At one camp the coke piles had to be white washed, to stop raids by the Boys to keep the old coke burners going. I remember empty wooden Spiders having materials " Liberated" too.

Second spin with the vintage Perma-Sharp. Woah Boy - very close three pass shave; BBS with zero nicks/weepers, nor irritation. Would seem to be following the pattern I see with many vintage blades - an OK first shave, then stellar performance for at least the next half-dozen outings.
Lovely scent and performance from the B&M Lavanille.
