*I've found a blade that I like other than a Feather.... but with a catch, I loaded the blade into the razor put the razor on the sink, had a bath, had a shave, emptied the blade, cleaned my razor......and the blade has left rust stains behind :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Saturday

Prep: Proraso, crema pre barba
Razor: SK式1 R.Saito
Brush: Semogue Mistura

Aftershave: Alum Block & Tabac After Shave
Moisturiser: Kiehl's "The ultimate men's after-shave balm"
Cologne: Black Orchid
Drink: Absinthe

I shaved with the SK式1this Saturday and it was a very different experience to the SK3. I carried on where I had left off with the SK3, thinking that the razor would be smooth and forgiving. The SK1 was even smoother but not at all forgiving giving me a little nip from the offset. The blade is a lot shorter and feels smoother but much, much keener, I felt that I had to be on it continuously which was fine and the end result was very pleasing. It just seems that the SK式1 was better quality and a more professional product than the SK3, if that makes any sense.

I can't wait to try the SK2 :))

BIC Astor (2)
Cyril R Salter mix Brush < forget what now
hot day so..
Proraso Soap old recipe
Proraso A/s & Balm old recipe also

(not a brilliant prep but just a lazy one pass clean up. no irritation off the Astor though. )

Wilkinson Sword Soap (Surprise purchase from the Mrs!), bowl lathered (plastic kids soup bowl lol).
Omega 10810
EJDE89, custom stainless handle
Polisilver SI [3]
First time with a soap and a bowl. Very disappointed, plenty of lather, but it was anything but slick, razor kept sticking.
So chucked it and lathered up with Ingrams (also surprise purchase from the Mrs) also bowl, much much better, far more lathered and very slick.
Result = DFS!

Hot Towel
Wickham's Bay Rum & Club Cola
Kent Infinity Silvertex
GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf
GEM Vintage Super Stainless
Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse & Alum Wash
Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum

Bowl Lathered
Two Pass - WTG & ATG

I was just testing this Clog Pruf before sending it on its merry way. It's all good! If anyone else would like to jump in, the thread is here: http://www.theshavingroom.co.uk/forum/thread-25624.html

Good shave, with a very enjoyable blend of Wickham's Bay Rum & Club Cola ... but I have to say, someone was pulling my leg over the burn off the Pinaud Clubman VIBR ... what a fantastic smell, but burn? Nah! Well, certainly no more than the Veg. I had a second splash an hour, or so later ... still no unbearable burn. No drama! It's a good 'un for me.

Right! The Clog is in the bag ... posted off to superflyguy tomorrow.

SUNDAY EVENING

Pre: Hot rinse & Prep cream
Soap: Mike's eucalyptus & lemongrass
Brush: Semogue OC cherry boar
Razor: Joseph Allen 5\8
Post: Veg, Village barber balm

Lovely shave tonight. Two WTG passes with the straight which left me very presentable, then an ATG pass with the Feather kamisori which left me as smooth as Smooth Jack McSmooth.
