L'Occitane Cade
7 o'clock open comb

Been a while since I used the Cade masses of lather and a nice scent. Shame I wasn't aware of this when the aftershave was around.

Lost count of how many shaves with this blade and I think today was the last. Still good, but not like it was.

Prep: cold water and Proraso Sensitive pre shave
Brush: Muhle Black fibre
Soap: TOBS St James
Razor: Gillette 7 O'Clock
Blade: Treet Durasharp
Post: Nivea sensitive post Shave Balm

Been getting great shaves last week with a Sputnik blade but the Durasharp seems a bit more draggy and have me a couple of weepers. Works well in my tech though so should probably keep them for less aggressive razors.
Having tried a new recently as well coming to conclusion I really like open comb razors.

Cheers Paul

Stirling Black Cumin and Orange (thanks MrK1)
Kent Infinity Silvertex
Gillette Super Silver from 1976 / Personna Super Chrome Platinum
Nivea Cool balm

Very nice but the Super Silver had had it after one and a half very thorough shaves.

Saturday evening shave
Pre: Proraso green pre-shave cream
Cream: C.O. Bigelow
Brush: Orchid Isles 24mm Silvertip on Curly Koa handle
Razor 1: Gold Dollar
Razor 2: Cobra Classic
Blade: Feather ProGuard (1)
Post: Captain's Choice Lime, followed by Proraso ASB

It was hot in the UK today. Did some gardening, walked the dog, BBQ'd steaks and sausages for dinner. I needed some menthol goodness to help cool down.
Swiped the GD against the strop for 30 licks and it did not disappoint. First pass with the GD and it took off 90% of a 2-day stubble. 1 weeper on my chin and 1 nick to my earlobe (lost sight of the edge). Second pass with the Cobra cleaned up the leftovers. Wonderful BBS.
