Cologne: Rive Gauche Intense

A few nicks, which was surprising, but they left no trace after the shave for another close and clean result.

Just a single pass to knock back to smooth and presentable ...

This is where the Roller Guard really comes into its own. It's a smooth shave; mild. I rather wonder if it was intended as a means of converting the man of the house's Gillette into a lady shaver. For removing a day of growth after a baby smooth shave the previous night, just perfect.

Rinsed off and a good splash of my homemade Bay Rum, lovely.

Hiya doin Paul,

Glad you posted again using that Roller thingy. Saw your first impression a few days back and never got around to typing at you. Heh, I thought you were charitable, seeing as how mild it is, especially when compared to the standard Old Type head it replaces. Night and day, bite wise.

That was the whole idea.....to make a tough razor to shave with more comfortable and easy going. Even keep the same cap and handle if you like. Worked great I thought.

Heh, feeling those rollers on my face is as close to an open comb experience as I usually care to get. To you, it's not even a tickle.

Anyway, I'm glad you were able to test drive that thing. Maybe try that head with a Feather blade on a substantial custom handle. Mine's on a Weber long handle and works better for me than a stock ball end.

Face lathered with the travel brush to try it out. Been breaking it in the last couple of weeks. Considering its size (it's tiny), it's not bad at all. Plenty of lather for 3 passes. Roll on the holiday!
