Thursday

Tabac
Semogue SOC Boar
1912
Gem blade
Tabac AS

I recently acquired a 1912 from eBay for the princely sum of 99p, it has a bit of brassing on the handle and is very much shaver grade but everything on it is straight. 99p bargain! I had a 1912 a while ago but swapped it for some cream or something on here, fancied another one.

Delivered an easy shave as I remember, nearly BBS.

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso pre-shave - sensitive
Soap: Cade cream
Bowl: Woodhead Tall Large scuttle
Brush: Traditional Shaving Shop badger
Razor: Merkur 37c Slant
Blade: Gillette Super Thin (1)
After: Brut AS, Cade ASB

Must me over 6 months since I used the Slant. I need more practice with it as I missed a BBS by a few whiskers.
Brought this Cade cream back from my holidays and think it's pretty good. Scent is great and it seems it's stronger than from the hard soap from recent posts I've read.

Get set for Easter, folks.

EDP: Tom Ford Black Orchid

A really nice shave.

Regards
Dick.

Wednesday Evening

Not feeling too cracking, but a good shave and a splash of Veg ought to perk me up ...

Hot Towel
NSS Rasage Traditionel
Kent Infinity SilverTex
Rolls Razor - A 48 7 (1948)
Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse & Alum Wash
Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

Bowl Lathered
Three Pass - Twice WTG & Once XTG

Good fun using this Rolls Razor again. After picking up that lovely Viscount set I was inspired to use my working Imperial set - I still need to clean up the Viscount, truth be told.

Twice with the grain and once across, I was done. Good rinse and splash of the Veg, feeling much better.

Cheers, all.

THURSDAY MORNING

Pre: Hot rinse, Aleppo soap
Soap: Nannys Cedarwood and Vetyver hard soap
Brush: Coates Fitzwilliam
Razor: Cobra Classic
Blade: Feather Professional
Post: Witch hazel, Proraso balm, The Veg
EDT: Caron Yuzu

Very close shave albeit with a couple of weepers from this fierce blade! The Veg and Yuzu work very well together and I'm surprised at how nice the veg is as an AS, barely any sting.

Hot Towel
Rose of Bulgaria Shaving Cream
Kent Infinity Silvertex
Merkur Progress
Gillette Thai Super Thin [3]
Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse & Alum Wash
Rose of Bulgaria Aftershave

Bowl Lathered
Two Pass - WTG [3] & XTG [1]

Having tried out this blade in a light razor as well as a super-aggressive slant, I thought it only fair to try it in an adjustable and I was not disappointed in my third excellent shave from this Gillette Thai Super Thin. Three shaves and I think it's about done for my liking.

I have very much enjoyed that blade and have 11 more to go.

Rose of Bulgaria was sensational!
