Today it's the first use of the Catie's Bubbles soap. The soap lathers very easily and works up into a slick, dense lather which lasts easily throughout the shave. The scents strong enough without being overpowering. I'm impressed with this soap from a relatively new artisan named Chris from the US. I finished the shave off with a good splash of the Myrsol Lemon with the added cooling effect from the menthol, it made this a fine shave.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Final shave with the 1934 type for a while. Even though it's a milder open comb, it's still only best used as a nice change of pace razor. I do need to pay some attention to detail and always feel a bit proud of myself when there's no pink tinge to the lather at all during the shave. Today was one of those. Razor is all cleaned up now and back in her case.

This AS/EdT combo is probably the best smelling vetyver scented product I've huffed, and also the least expensive by far. Crazy but true. I prefer it over others like vintage Guerlain and Roger & Gallet. Only problem is it lasts maybe half an hour before going away. Heh, yeah, the EdT too. So cheap though that I can spray lots on and no problem with any expense.

Second go with this Push Button and my thoughts seem to have borne out; that the Feather delivers a completely different character to these milder GEMs. Not that it was a bad shave, just that the Feather seemed less patchy. It might be down to the blade, but I think they were equally used.
