S.O.T.D. Sat. 8th February 2014 to Fri. 14th February 2014

Pre: Bath, hot flannel, Aleppo face wash
Pre: Proraso sensitive
Razor: Merkur 37c slant
Blade: Sputnik (1)
Soap: Cella
Brush: Semogue 620
Post: Weleda asb

Been having great shaves using the proraso pre/post cream and got a great lather with Cella using the Semogue 620. I have only used this brush 5 or 6 times so it's still not broken in.
Had a 'moment' whilst shaving, had 3 days growth and 1st pass, I thought to myself, have I put a blade in. It was that smooth. Only needed 2 passes for a near bbs.

Speick soap and a/s

Pre: Village Barber oil
Soap: Vintage Old Spice soap
Brush: Simpson Tulip-1 (Super)
Razor: EJ DE89 with Templ8 custom handle
Blade: Sputnik (5)
Post: Thayer's Original witch hazel
AS: Vintage Old Spice Cologne, followed by Village Barber balm

Is it possible for a blade to get sharper with age? I had nearly written this Sputnik blade off on the last shave. Last shave with this blade was only a DFS after 3 passes and it tugged & pulled like a petulant puppy. Today however was a very pleasant 2.5 pass BBS that was silky smooth.
I guess this is why I love the vintage OS so much.

Just readied myself for night shift

Prep: hot shower
Brush: Omega Proraso Boar hair
Soap: Derby
Razor: my PopPop's Ever Ready 1912
Blade: GEM (3)
AS: Floïd
Balm: Arko Nem

Third shave with the 1912 and I'm getting used to it and it me.
Lovely smooth shave
Feeling quite ready to head out in to the freezing cold and see what the public and Perthshire have in store
Stay safe gents!

Feather AC ProGuard (11)
Semogue SOC Boar

Weleda After Shave Balm

Not comfortable nor satisfying. New soap tomorrow and I'll take a week or two off from the Feather to use some DEs.

MONDAY EVENING

Prep: Hot rinse & Aleppo soap
Razor: Gillette Aristocrat Jr
Blade: Personna Lab Prep
Brush: Semogue 2011 LE boar 2
Soap: MdC Fougere - scuttle lathered
Post - Witch hazel & Proraso balm

A very close shave. I find these Personnas a wee bit aggressive for my tastes TBH (light touch required or claret is easily produced!)

King of Shaves 'ultimate' shave balm.

A slightly rushed shave before a dental appointment this morning. Hold on - I could have shaved this afternoon as I don't start work until later tonight. Tomorrow's shave will be much slower.

The Omega syntex bristle shaving brush works very well with the Boots shaving stick. A nice rich lather, and a smooth shave with the WS Classic razor.

Soap: Tcheon Fung Sing Tabacco Verde Intenso
Razor: Timor OC 1350K
