hot or cold water?

Tried it this afternoon for the first time. The cold water was certainly refreshing. Quite muggy in this corner of Yorkshire today. I couldn't say that it impacted positively or negatively the shave. Novel and refreshing I would describe it :cool:
 
Tried a cold water shave today. Refreshing,no irritation what so ever...think i will give it a second go tomorrow.

Ice water in the scuttle, cold water all the way. I use a synthetic brush, have never tried badger but this,works for me. No problems with lather or anything else.

I've been converted to cold water shaving since June by being too lazy and tight to boil a kettle up just for a shave. I don't think I would go back now it is more refreshing and otherwise seems to make little discernable difference. Maybe less irritation but not a revelation level difference.
 
I have always been shaving with cold water. I also lather up in cold water. I find cold water gives me a better and more comfortable shave than with hot water.

This article has some very interesting thoughts about cold water shaves.
