Hello and Welcome

I shall personally rejoice in the rehabilitation of the letter "u" and the correct sequence of letters at the end of "complicated words" like "centre" and "theatre", the demise of the preposition "off of" and the archaic terms like "gotten", "fall" and many others that don't spring instantly to mind but will get my blood boiling.

Welcome to the revolution, comrades - and death to the reactionaries!
Remember that the eyes of the world are upon you - already messages of support are pouring in from our comrades all over blogland and soon we will march shoulder-to-shoulder to liberate the oppressed and usher in a new era of freedom.
March, comrades - march! - march against those who would enslave our language with such words as "puck", "thru", "ass" and other expressions of imperialist oppression.
Against those who would dictate to us from whom we should obtain our just and rightful goods.
And against those who would deprive us of our right to decide what is and is not "cool".
Are we not the nation of Shakespeare, of Keats and Milton? - and of Beau Brummell? - do we need foreign oppressors to teach us what is and is not appropriate in speech, style and manner?
No - I say that we do not - and we have today thrown off these shackles and will never bear them again as long as we have blades in our razors and lather on our brushes!
And so, as we steel our backs for the fight, we cry "God for Jermyn St, Brummell and St. James!"

Cripes, that certainly is stirring stuff. Are you by any chance acquainted with our friend Anton von Tripp, another cunning linguist if ever there was one?

i've received an e-mail from Paul asking what's going on at CONUK so he knows something is wrong
gave him the gen so we'll wait and see what he say's about the spamming allegations

I did email a few long established members about a malicious campaign against the "leisure guy" Michael Ham, that Nick or Joel (can't remember) started. He was banned & this upset many members so I wanted them to know why he was really banned. He was banned for recommending the razorandbrush sample packs as well as letterk's, rather than just letterk's. Obviously any reasonable person wouldn't consider this spamming but neither Nick or Joel is one of those. After two years you think this would not be an issue but I have come to the conclusion that they are a couple of ******** & need to grow up. But badegerandblade is their site & if they want to run it as a Stalinist state they can.

ShaveMyFace.com doesn't have social groups but there are plenty of UK members & also TheShaveDen have social groups + they currently have a European group that needs some members:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/group.php?groupid=7">http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/group.php?groupid=7</a><!-- m -->

Also you may like to join this group:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/group.php?groupid=18">http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/group.php?groupid=18</a><!-- m -->

So is CONUK no more? I noticed that I could not longer view the group, so I assumed something was up.

Best regards,

Paul

don't know how, but the mods found out that you were providing the sample club service and one of the lads was organising a group buy of some P160 from you, so we got a lifetime ban.

they made a big thing about why we were using you as a vendor when we knew you were banned from B+B
they never said in the past why you got banned and you said it was just a falling out but they said that you spammed their site and sent malicious e-mails etc etc

i think they got pissed off with CONUK as it was a pretty good part of the B+B site?
how'd you find out?

Neil

Looks like there are other forums around that may well fit the bill, but me? I'm sticking round here. The last couple of days have confused the hell out of me. I can't keep track of you guys' names, never mind a whole new bunch of people. Also, they may expect me to keep on topic and actually discuss traditional wet shaving! Everyone here knows I use this:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Coolskin-HS8060-Moisturizing-Shaving/dp/B000PS6E0W/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=beauty&qid=1247260307&sr=8-5">http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Coolski ... 307&sr=8-5</a><!-- m -->

Isn't that what people mean when they talk about a rotation?

Burn him! There is no way on this planet that any Philips product could ever be described as a shaving device. Even 22 years ago when I started shaving they were referred to as grinders... probably get a better finish off an anglegrinder to be honest.

The sad thing is that when I looked at the Amazon page there were some reviewers saying they'd abandoned their razors in place of this electrical monstrosity. Cartridge razors are bad enough, but electrics completely take the soul out of shaving. I'm not a spiritual guy, but my time shaving is special. I can't imagine using an electric razor to shave. Think I'd rather grow a beard!

BTW, off topic as usual. This is supposed to be a welcome thread. Doh!
