You guys might like the Sicilian national dish...Pasta con sarde, which is a bit more sweet n sour than a ballsy puttanesca.

I'm doing some lamb & leek chipolatas with black beans, mushrooms and some wild garlic mash. Mrs is under the weather, so I'll sneak a chilli into the beans. Between the chilli and the garlic, I trust she'll be better in the morning ...

In about ten hours! Slow cooked beef stew.

Shin of Red Ruby Devon beef
Garlic and onions (caramelised in the pan)
Diced King Edwards and carrots
Mushrooms
Handful of green lentils and pearl barley
Few teaspoons of onion gravy
Bay leaf

Should be lovely (based on past experience). Just a dash of Hendersons Relish (Sheffield nectar) to finish it off!

At the local rugby match, so a simple Foie Gras and Wagyu Beef pie, chips and mushy peas.

Tsk, when will rugby players learn.

Mushy peas with fish, petit pois with beef.

In Nottingham peas only come in 'mushy'. Owt else is poncy, foreign muck.

Just scoffed a fresh cream lemon muffin from Morrision's as the gaffer's just back from the shops. Eeeeee, t'was grand but better still is that she's making bread and butter pudding for afters tonight. I love it when I catch her reading Mary Berry's book on baking - everything so far has turned out just magic!
